I feel a little late to the party, but just want to echo that the command bunker looks great. Looking forward to other (more affordable) pieces :)

BTW, would you do different colors for the acrylic display-type pieces? I'm partial to blues, myself.

If you're referring to the Tech Consoles and Communication Array they already have color options. Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, and Pink!

We could also do them in the radiant acrylic that we use for the TO markers but those would be a little more expensive as that material is even more pricey than the fluorescent. Could make for a cool alien style looking console though. We'll do a prototype and post some pics.

Turn around was blitz fast. Stuff is great.

Mr scatter terrain. I recommend taking some inspiration from Opportunity city in Birderlands 2.

The Holo Shield Markers are intended to be used as Nano Shields. They are the same size as nano screen markers, and are two parts, as the base is a clear acrylic that the the radiant part fits into.

We're going to keep rolling in this thread for updates if that's okay with everyone.

To kick off wave 2 we're starting with what every table can never have too much of...Shipping Containers! Lovingly referred to as Y.A.K.S (Yet Another Kontainer System) internally, we tried to take the standard containers and make them more functional on the table.

http://warsen.al/products/large-shipping-containers

Image

Image

Stackable in every possible way with slots on top and bottom to keep them in place. Plus removable doors on all sides mean your minis will never get trapped inside. Who among us hasn't picked up a container to get the mini inside only to watch it slide right out the other...

Image

Image

We've also got small containers:

http://warsen.al/products/small-shipping-containers

Image

Since the doors are all removable, we did some stencilled doors to help guide people in painting.

http://warsen.al/products/container-doors

Image

We've also got some nice barricades that work stand alone, or on top of the containers.

Image

Designed specifically with missions in mind, we have a 12 pack of Escape Pods.

Image

We feel you can never have too much scatter so we're going to keep doing a ton of it. To round out this release we have the Bus Stop.

I'm not very fond of the bus stop. Have you considered making some acrylic walls for them? Gives you a chance to up the sci-fi feel as well as block out more LoF on the table.

The containers, however, are excellent. You really knocked it out of the park with this one. I'm resigning myself to making an order in the near future.

Good point, an acrylic back/sides will greatly help with blocking LoF.

Yep, acrylic signs are coming for the bus stops. They are already designed to hold them :)

I just got some of these containers and they are awesome as hell!

<Mr. Torgue voice>
They're f**kin' badass so get you some!

These containers have a great scale and are versatile.
They fit in the center portions of my Warmill corridor set, they mate up easily to other scratch built buildings, they are perfect scatter terrain and are wayyyyyy better than the prototypical shipping containers because of the removable doors.

I also dig the suppression fire markers. We use them as scenario based nano shield elements.

I ordered some camo markers so I can compare them to the cardboard ones if you'd like. I can also give my opinion on them compared to the MAS ones, but I no longer have MAS tokens to do a direct side by side comparison.

Wave 3 Pre-orders

At the core of the system are two buildings which we're calling Alpha and Beta. These two buildings are designed on the same frame and share the same core wall designs. The main difference is one has a short front and one has a tall front. This allows for some interesting variations in design.

ImageImage

We wanted the two shapes to work with each other every which way but we didn't want any boxes. What we've come up with is a wedge shape that allows for some really unique layouts on the table. The configurations really do feel infinite. Alpha fits on top of Beta and vice-versa. Alpha fits next to Beta (because it flips upside down!) to make straight pieces or you can put multiple Alpha's or Beta's next to each other to create curves in any direction.

ImageImageImage

In order to make the the buildings go any direction we had to make all of the walls removable. This had some interesting side effects. Namely it allowed us to sell individual facades so you could transform your buildings as you're setting up the table. Not to mention making it easy to get to that first floor building of your four story skyscraper without taking off all of the upper levels.

This flexibility comes at the price of having to magnetize each wall. This step is totally optional but we feel like if you take that extra step you'll be really glad you did. In play testing the facades all just jump into place and you really have to experience it to appreciate it. It also makes storage a lot easier.

We have some big plans for this system. We have many, many different types of buildings and facades coming very soon. We didn't want to hold off getting something out there as soon as possible though. That's why this time we're taking preorders for these new pieces. All preorders will start shipping on July 15th on a first come first served basis. These pieces are done so there will be no delays, we just didn't want to wait another month to start showing off what we've been working on.

Here are some links to the items we're pre-selling:

This looks really cool stuff. I think in some ways the possibilities here are more than can be easily demonstrated in the pictures. I get the feeling there is a lot more to come from this concept.

The only thing is - for the 2 storey buildings - are the 1st floors sloping? It looks really cool from the outside, just wondering about in-game.

Kinda pricey but when you consider that it's effectively the same footprint as 2 MAS buildings, I reckon it's worth it. It also has a lot of character and actually looks "lived in" as opposed to virtually all the other stuff, which, although it looks nice, is about as sterile as the surface of the moon!

The gubbins around it also make it much practical from a cover POV.
