Whaaaat? A kickstarter from MAS?

While interesting, I don't think you guys need to go the Kickstarter route.

Well, our calculations have shown otherwise ;)

We have prepared a lot of new stuff and KS enables us to release it a lot sooner than it would normally take. Plus my boss is a huge fan of crowdfunding so...

Love modular table set ups - which is what this appears to be on the surface.

Looking forward to it!

Hi guys,
since the Beasts of War weekender about our Kickstarter was moved to next week we thought we should give you some info on what we plan for the campaign.
First of all, some of you may ask: why do we need Kickstarter? We managed to put quite a number of Infinity related terrains without crowdfunding support, so why do we want it now? The answer is simple – we really wanted to rethink our line of Infinity terrains and use the suggestions of players all around the world to create something better and more affordable.
Speaking of affordability – this was one of our main goals when we were working on this Kickstarter. We know that a player needs a lot of terrain to play Infinity so it is important that you don't spend a fortune on them. This is why we worked hard with different materials to achieve the wnted effect without making a product too expensive.
We also understand the general problem with big LoF blockers that can be placed on streets. Many mats that people tend to use nowadays have streets printed on them, but terrain pieces that can be used on them are either small or expensive. We addressed this matter from various points and tried to fill this niche as well as we could.
A few months of designing and playtesting all the pieces gave us the confidence in what we will offer on Kickstarter. We managed to create over 20 different products and sets for this campaign, some of which we will be teasing you with in upcoming weeks. Finally, last but not least, look for Micro Art Studio Terminus Segments Kickstarter on 20th of February.

OK, I could be interested, but I don't understand: will you crowfund scatter scenery, big playmats, modular playmats?... all of the above?...

Thanks for pre-answering a lot of my questions!

Will you guys be expanding (ha, pun!) on the expanded PVC/pre-formed line? Things like the Habitat Tower and Habitat Station? I really like the aesthetics of that, but don't want such tall or wide structures (both of which increase the price, understandably).

Everything else sounds pretty exciting, though.

Internal spiral stair is a great idea. I didn't really like the warehouse, although I admit that it's big and will perfectly do its work as a LOS blocker in any game.

The playmats look modular, and beautiful too, now that's interesting!...

Warehouse? Depending on the proportions, that might be a fantastic Mobile Suit Hangar...

Warehouse/Hangar is a piece we're particularly proud of :) During playtesting every game that included the Warehouse had some cool episode inside.

It's not really a building gamewise, but more of a mini-battlefield on the battlefield. Going inside is a lot more 'natural', quicker and less troublesome than into normal buildings and it's a great place for Link Teams, CC specialists, infiltrating repeaters and exploding your Kuang-Shi.

Action gets even thicker if there's an Objective Marker inside :)

Oh wow, it would make so much sense for there to be an objective inside that particular building over others.

Imagine: An experimental piece of TAG tech, a sequestered away relic of significant cultural import, the covert drop off point of an intelligence agent... The story-telling elements could be quite intriguing.

Fancy. I suppose those images are printed on, similar to the Holo Ads?

Will there be other art assets used besides the Sophotect?

Exactly, same tech.

There should be two different designs for the bus no matter what. If the KS goes well enough maybe more

We're doing everything we can to bump down the prices, believe me. We've already scratched several projects that were judged too pricy for the offered amount of playability/overall coolness. We've also redesigned some expensive projects to make them cheaper without lowering their quality.
