Not miniature related, but a great Kickstarter; I know Reading Rainbow encouraged me at a young age to read, a passion I have to this day.

Fully funded, more than $1.5M collected, and still 34 days to go? this may well become one of the most successful kickstarters ever. When i get my paycheck i'll look into it, i think i may be able to chip in too despite having to pay for a rather worrying amount of things next month.

I am going to second https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/re ... ld-everywh that! If everyone could take just one dollar/equivalent out of their gaming fund we could help make the world better...or even better still...goes without a fancy coffee/alcoholic beverage we could do better still!

The figures are huge. They won't mix with any other sci-fi range on the market.

Yeah, they're supposed to be True 1/48, so they're ~40mm tall for a 1.8m tall human. The Ares troops (yellow armor on the far right) are even bigger.

That's a real shame, because I like the background and art for the Ares and Sayx. Well, the vehicles should be usable, anyway.

They claim "1.80 m (6.8 ft) in reality, will measure 40 mm in total." when 1.80 is less than 6 feet, around 5' 11" (70.87 inches). Go figure where they got the "6.8 ft".

40 mm * 48 = 1920 mm. 1800 mm / 40 = 45. 1:45 would be the scale.

Of course, after checking current sizes, 1750 mm could also be used (anybody with stats of all armies around the world instead of general population guess?), making the scale 1:43.5.

We will have to see the size of those, and if worth the price.

Yeah, I know. That doesn't bother me to be honest though. While mix and match is great, I tend to keep minis to their own systems anyway. It's ok to play other games, and painting larger scale minis might be a fun change of pace.

I mentioned it more as an interesting game an universe, more so than 'hey this might be good for infinity proxies'.

Yeah. Might be worth it, might not be.

Seems like they're trying for a scifi version of WarmaHordes in terms of number of figures needed.

Fallen Frontiers looks awesome. And speaking from experience, larger scale models are fun to paint (I'm currently painting 35mm Batman Miniature Game models - highly recommended, Levitas!). So if the rules turn out to be good, I might check it out.

Gotta say I like the Fallen Frontiers minis - nicely scaled and don't look bizarre and stumpy like GW minis.

Oh wow, this is a good read. It's not so much the scale that bothers me, it's the general vagueness and lack of concrete details. I'm not getting an honest vibe. Which is a shame, as I think they have a cool product. I was thinking of investing, but very much doubt it now unless they come clean about the issues others have raised.

Fallen Frontiers funded.

After some "Hollywood crime series" tricks... I think the goblinoids are like the yellow armor. 40mm? I start to fear those vehicles are going to be big. The price will be OK then... but that is small consolation. :v:

Damn, those vehicles are going to be waaaaaay too big.

But the vagueness in answering questions killed any desire I had to buy in.

I know right. Truth and transparency go hand in hand when asking folks to pledge. Real shame, I was ready to open my wallet for that one.

So go for Last Saga instead? Perfect size match and I haven't heard about issues. No vehicles sadly.

Guessing:
Alien Homeworld = Eldar
Alliance Cruisier = Star Trek
Blockade Runner = Star Wars
M-Class Starship = Alien(s)
Plus Mines and Sewers.

And some sets have external panels as add-on (windows in base price), so they can become "bases" to play around.

Not bad.

Or better and Infinity related

Alien Homeworld = Boarding Mission CA recon ship.
Alliance Cruiser = Haqqislam Caravansery
Blockade Runner = PanO/YJ ship/space station
M-Class = Nomad/Ariadna ship
Sewers? = got nothing!

I'm on a tight budget now.. Infinity & student life isn't best way to save some money :P I hope they make it, and that I'll be able to purchase some stuff in the future! I like the fact that the small corridors fit a 40mm with nothing left, making it great for boarding missions or space station attack. (No TAGs inside, only REM/Gecko/Sphinx
