N3 Human Sphere News from Beasts of War

N3 Human Sphere.. It was announced a little while ago. Today Killian (Deep Green X on the forums) asked Bostria some burning questions! Video can be found over at Beasts of War.

Why Human Sphere, and what will happen to Acheron Falls?

N3 Human Sphere was chosen to be updated before Acheron Falls, because many in the community felt N3 had too many loose ends. In order to make sure the system will grow accordingly and to make sure the left-over stuff is cleared up in the new updated system.

Updates will happen to Weapons, Skills, Equipment and also some of the left-over Profiles (those that got a point-adjustment, but nothing changed in skills, equipment or even role-wise or aesthetically).

The ability to re-design also gives CB to clear up some issues in the old rules, and to make the skill a lot more usable in some cases and less unclear. It also gives the possibility for an overall rebalance of the system regarding the Human Sphere/Paradiso rules.

Many of the new stuff we see will not be the ‘final version’ of that unit. Bostria mentions the Kaeltar especially.

Also new rules will come out, but Bostria is pretty opposed to making Infinity more complicated than it already is.

A new translation, makes it easier for the International Community to get a grasp of the game.

Campaign Paradiso included? 

Bostria also mentions the Paradiso Campaign will see an update in the future, because the current system is tremendously out of date. We’ll see some of the rules included, but nothing from the Campaign system itself.

But… but.. Acheron Falls?

Acheron Falls is a HUGE project. It will be pushed back about 6 months by N3 Human Sphere. Acheron Falls is already in the making, but it’s a lot of work to make and play-test. We’re talking sixteen (16!!!!) new sectorial armies. Killian almost felt from his chair. 😉

This means new designs, new army set-ups, new lists. Acheron Falls isn’t delayed a lot by Human Sphere, and more by the fleshing out of Acheron Falls itself. A lot of work.

N3 Human Sphere can be designed along side this, as the work is already done and mainly needs a small update and touching up.

The new sectorials will be released in a train, like we’ve seen in recent months. A starter pack, followed by a couple of boxed sets and a few blisters, before taking a little break and continue a regular schedule.

What’s in for us in the future?

After Acheron Falls, there will be a Wasteland, says Bostria. He can’t think beyond Acheron Falls yet. Keep an eye on GenCon, as Bostria will show some new concepts and designs.

In August, we’ll see the RPG released by Modiphius! (Yes! Much excite!).
