So listening to O-12 and they posed a question that i kinda want to know about. So lets say there is an opposed hacking test and my opponent gets a crit. it says that my hacker dies and repeaters die. does that mean all my repeaters or just the one that was used for the test? also if i use a securitate, which has a repeater on them that isnt a deployable repeater, does that kill the securitate?

As a follow on, if I use a Hacker as a repeater, does the Hacker being used as a repeater die too?

As far as the hacker dying, that is only for anti-hacker protocols. If it is simply an opposed roll for defensive hacking a crit will simply disable the losers hacking device.

As far a the repeaters are concerned the model does not die, the repeated is simply destroyed, much like if the Moran or Securitate had been hit by e/m (but not repairable by an engi). As far as effecting all repeaters on the table, or just the one being utilized at the time of the hack, there was a big thread about it on the forums and I don't believe any one conclusion was reached.

On that issue the conclusion was that affecting every repeater on the table was stupid and that the translation should say "the repeaters being used".
