Interior Decorating

by schoon » February 20th, 2015, 2:28 am

As I've mentioned elsewhere, I've got a firm handle on where to get excellent terrain and buildings, some of which have internal detail, and others not so much.

So...

I'd love to get people's advice on where to get good stuff for interior "decorating." What's out there in the realm of chairs, desks, data crypts, etc.?

Here's my response from the official forums... will try to add links...

I think this can be discussed here as long as people don't post links to non-partner makers.
Antenocitis definitely has some good interior stuff. Spartan does too, but it's really expensive for what you get.

Deadzone has some stuff, but it's not super robust and is mostly crates, at least their plastic stuff. I don't think you can get the Antenocitis stuff that was part of their Kickstarter from anyone but Antenocitis any more.

There's also Hirst Arts molds, but these can be very time and labor intensive to get good results out of.

The Sedition Wars terrain box has a lot of great doors, consoles, sleeper pods, and turrets.

**EDIT*** I have seen this terrain pack for much cheaper than this ebay listing, though maybe they're starting to get rare. Not sure if they're being made by CMON or not given how much of a spectacular disaster Sedition Wars turned out to be.

Here's a pic of the contents:

In the US, my favorite go-to for interiors is Underground Lasers. They have a pretty decent selection:

I own a couple of their tables and vending machines. They also have a set of computer terminals, server towers, etc.

Recently they come out with an arcade set, with pool tables, arcade machines and atms, which I'll probably get a hand on once I figure out what to do with them.

Laughing Jack is based in Germany, and I think they do really cool stuff. I haven't ordered from them, but reviews I have seen are solid. You can see a review of them on Hydra's blog: http://h-archive.blogspot.de/2014/12/review-laughing-jack-interiorsets.html

Scotia Grendel seems to have a couple of interesting ideas, too. Though their technology and design seem a little outdated.
They say there will be Heaven and the Fount of Kausar,
That there, there will be pure wine and honey and sugar
Fill up the wine cup and place it in my hand
(For) ready cash is better than a thousand credits.

If you've got more time than money, Hirst Arts sells molds that you can use to cast things in plaster or resin.

If you ever develop an unquenchable thirst for 1" cube crates, it's a lot cheaper than paying someone for plastic or resin. :geek:
