I'm still in the playing through O:I and learning the rules stage, so I do not really have a mainstay list or army to pick grunts from. Yet!
Any suggestions/requests?

If you listened in December we had mentioned a quarterly Painting competition for our listeners, well that time has arrived!! From here on out we will be awarding four lucky winners the coveted “Mayacast Masterglass” trophy! This trophy will have the season (Spring, Summer, etc) as well as your name etched into it, along with a special Mayacast logo. The example of our trophy can be seen in the photos on this post, Congrats to Jakob Andersson for being the Inaugural Winner. Details on the theme of each contest will be announced on the first episode of the starting season. We are hoping to make this a fun tradition, so I hope you all are as excited as we are about it.
But wait, … what about the 1st quarter of this year?? That contest begins today!!!
All who want to enter have from this moment until March 25th to submit your entries to either tom@mayacast.com or kip@mayacast.com. This quarters theme will be any model that has a silhouette value of 2. You will have to send a time stamped photo (no earlier than Jan 1st, no later than March 20th) of the model unfinished to prove that it was painted within this quarter, and of course a photo of the finished model. PLEASE send them both in the same email, so yes, send them once you are finished. This will make it easier to keep track of entries. Since this contest went up on the fly, you can submit time stamped photos of “in progress” models, they just can’t be completed yet.
Good Luck to all who enter!!!

Do you happen to have the new Ghulam SWC box? I'd love to see more of the Ghulam HMG, personally. (Remember, I'm not the sole judge and you should simply paint whatever you wish) That said, the icestorm Alguaciles are also a pleasure to see and a little more rare than their PanO counterparts (pick it up, Nomads !)

Final shots of my Line Kazaks. The female was the first, and therefore had the most testing done on her - hence some of the differences between her and the other two. Most notably I used a more pure white for the eyes, and instead of red lines for the camo pattern is went with the 'blobs'. Also, the only bulbs I had for my light box were fluorescent - hence the harsh lighting. If I can get more 'true' pictures I'll replace these ones.

Though, you are encouraged and welcome to post pictures of your WIP for critique and advice! I know you're rather new to the hobby, if I recall correctly, so is there any question you have regarding the hobby aspect? Hopefully we can help you from the very beginning.
