What's ironic, is that I specifically did not want to go for Achilles rampage. It's just that he was the best man for the job at the moment - those Lasiq snipers were in a good position. And I had much luck with avoiding damage and hack attempt.

It seems lack of msv2 + is a bad thing when facing Homeridae...

Well, getting a big fat -6 to hit is always bad. If that -6 gets enhanced with other negative modifiers (range, cover, what-not) it becomes very nasty really fast.

No matter whether it is ODD or TO Camo.

If you deal with Myrmidons or Moiras, who are basically 1-Wound models, it is fair gamble: you get a -6 to hit, true, but as soon as you manage to inflict a Wound on them (and at ARM 2 - 3 it is not that hard), they're down.
What I have a problem with is 2+ ODD / TO Camo with ARM 5+ on top of that. Be it TO Camo or ODD HI, TAG, and the like. Not only they're damn hard to hit, but also difficult to wound... and you have to deal a few wounds to down them.

In N3, this will be easier to counter - at least partially - with MSV L1. Also, heavy targets will be easier to hack, and hackers will be more popular, as they became cheaper and way more useful.

We'll see.

Hacking, flamers, E/M templates, monomines are your friends. Shooting ODD models in the open works in a pinch, but high PH might save the target here.

No flamers and no monomines in N2 Bahram. Hacking didn't worked (as you remeber, I was unable to set up a repeater network to allow me for more attempts), and I was unable to get to you with an E/M Template.

Well, sectorials are always paying price for specialization... I am more and more considering moving towards full-spectrum Nomad army, if only to get access to things like msv2 and TO camo.

By all means, please do.

During the Christmas cleaning I found some paper models I printed ages ago and left unassembled. I'm happy to inform I'm almost done with a Police HMMV (like the one we have already), and three Airwagon Dropships are finished already :)

BTW, anyone up for a game next week?
Both Monday and Wenesday are available.

Yes, enough with N2. Standard RoE.

edit: There's also a sliver of chance we'll be getting pdf updates before Wednesday. If so, let's use them.

Got some good progress today with painting the buildings. Warehouse and another residential building just need some brush up with sandpaper and maybe a layer of varnish later on.

I should have them back in storage by Tuesday.

Great work Fred! I'm really impressed.
Anyone for Saturday game? I'm back today in Szczecin so Saturday is good for me. I can still play only 200 pts.
Meanwhile, anybody will buy stuffs from Wargamer this month?

I'm up for Saturday as well.

No Wargamer for me for some time, Christmas happened. I might be interested in some MAS stuff, though.

Saturday, 10th? Remains an option.

Stiopa, if we get updates, I'm going Bahram again, if not, it'll be vanilla Haqq N3.

As for purchases, I can open up an order for you guys whenever you want. Myslef, I'm hoping MAS will be up with new markers soon, I'm in for some of these.
For Wargamer, well, I'm lagging behind with my painting, so no new purchases for a while.

Fred, that's spendid job on the painting :D

1. I'd love to get the action on saturday, 10th. Can someone check the Fenix schedule so we avoid "wild tournament appears" scenario? FB page displays still december schedule.
2. I will bring N3 nomads, N3 definitely made me appreciate diversity of units ofered by vanilla
3. I propose we run YAMS x N3 combo to see how it works and spot any potential hiccups.

N3/300/YAMS it is, would be nice to squeeze in more than one game, I crave for some practice :)

If update hits, I'm taking ASA, if not - vanilla PanO

I can match your 200pts with my own, what time?
Should we try YAMS as well?

As for shopping, I have to opt out for now - trying to set up painting station is draining my funds for now.

Ok, Fred what would you say about return match Saturday 12.00? 200 pts Yams, but N3 rules (I would like to better know new rules and simultaneously play my Sectorial MO):).

Actually I've ordered some minatures from MGŁA shop: nice price (cheaper than Wargamer) and rich Infinity assortment.

Please elaborate..
N3 rules with N2 unit costs/stats,
or
N3 all the way (mind you MO sectorial is not out yet)?
We can also play N2 rules, I don't mind.

Just state all info please, I'm not sure how you want to play - I'm good with whichever variant you propose, but we need to make it clear before the game.

Time & date is OK for me.

I don't think so, Ewok. It's kinda preaching to the choir.

Who was to be convinced, was convinced long before. Who kept sticking to grimdarkgrimdarkness, won't rather change their mind just because some folks on da Interwebz didn't mentioned it in their ranking.

Besides, I can't stand Warren. So much I doubt I would let him convince me thet the grass is green... ;)

@Fred:
I rather choose N3 rules with N2 cost/stats (if some of minatures you will play is already released then you take N3 cost/stats of this minature).

Note - I'll drop in on Saturday. Can play a game (though I'm sticking to N3, no point in clinging to 2ed anymore), but I'm not 100% set on this.

I'd love to get my backpack from Fred if possible :)
