Since there is no word from Blaszko, Jonasz or anyone else, I think I'll rush the first Wargamer and make it moving today in the evening.

I'll be sending out the maths via PM soon after, I'm hoping the participants will be able to have the financial matters settled soon (as I'll be needing the cash for the N3 rulebook preorder...).

The #2 Wargamer order is still open, closing next week (it is meant for N3 rulebooks, but can take whatever they got in stock, if you want something - I got an order for Kornak from Jonasz at 5:30 AM today...).

I have to snatch our YAMS set for article photos today, I hope to return it to the Fenix on Monday.
I'll be dropping more Dire Foes scenarios there today :)

Sadly no way to play for me until weekend. Only chance would be on Saturday during "Fenix Klubowo" thats start around 18:00 and cost 5 PLN to participate. For that many cash you can stay till late night and bring own food&drinks.

Well it seems i am getting old... also sitting in EXP without buying anything seems not very cool so there is not much difference to pay 5 PLN for a drink in EXP and 5 for long stay with own drinks in Fenix. Also "Fenix Klubowo" offer more quiet and space without Magic the gathering or other bothersome things.

From what I know, Monolit failed to timely announce the event on their Facebook and EXP's Facebook. As the result, the only person that came for the event not being a member of our merry little trio was... the organizer, ArchonPL himself.

He's really interested, and I guess we can expect hi to join us following N3 release.

A few more folks gave the table a shorter or longer glance, but no real interest.

Honestly, I'm afraid I wasted a perfectly fine day in the woods that day :(

We did not, Fred told me that he had to stay longer at work today and couldn't make it.

Which wasn't the mst unlucky course of events, as my game of Firestorm: Armada with Kathara Khan took way longer than I expected...

Why Firestorm: Armada and not Full Trust?
Did you just started or are you a regular F:A player?
What is your impression of the system/models/etc.?

1. Why not FT? Because Kathara Khan, who dragged me in, got disheartened by FT. Though I guess that if a few more games go as bad for him as the one yesterday, he'll get disheartened with F:A too. Nota bene, I had serious problems in FT with guided missiles.
2. Yesterday was my 2nd game. My opponet's, AFAIK, too.
3a. System is beer and pretzels. FT is a serious game, Infinity is even more serious, F:A is very, very simple. Wouldn't skip over from Infinity for it. The authors suggest a pretty dense battlefield, with 25% table coverage with various terrain pieces.
3b. Models look nice, but they are ridiculously big. Dreadnoughts (the largest capital ship class) tend to be up to 20cm long, for crying out loud. And the model's size - just like in FT - does have absolutely no importance in-game. The base size, yes, the model size no. And I guess they're real PITA to move on these dense battlefields and to maneuver once a battle starts to get somewhat dense. Which happens pretty often.
3c. This game did not even lay on a nearby shelf of Fun-o-Meter as Infinity. If you are into naval battles, you may try it - but as for me, I'm not going to buy any models - we've made some pretty neat markers, glued them onto cardboard, and it actually works. Sure, it then becomes just a tabletop naval wargame, not a miniature game, but hey.
3d. Okay, I can see an advantage, given you go with cardboard markers and flat terrain - you can have a game with a couple of A4-or-less-sized pieces of paper, which makes it way more portable than Infinity. But obviously not the eye candy the authors intended it to be.

Thanks for the chunky reply :)
I was recently reading up on FT myself, as Gomez mentioned something that he and a friend play from time to time (which is approx. twice a year if I'm not too generous), and quite interested in the gameplay.
I might ask him for a demo sometime, would you be up for it? (He could oversee the rules as we play?)

p.s. Yeah, too large models for space-battle game would be a turn off for me, and simplistic rules? I'd rather get something complicated.

Not to mention that FT models are a ^&*( to paint if you're not just drybrushing them - they seem "pixellated" from 3D printing.

BTW, any of you going to the big Warsaw tournament on 22-23th?
