Canada + Infinity

You really make it sound as though it has to be one or the other whereas the far more logical assumption is both. It makes perfect sense that Canada would have sent a contingent to dawn as part of the ariadna mission, but they would have certainly been a minority group, rather than one of those that formed one of the Ariadnan nations; however, no country involved in the project would have sent their entire populace, which leaves the nation of Canada still on earth which eventually comes under the control of Pan-O. Meaning that their would likely be Canadian elements of both major powers. Although both would be fairly minor.

But I still agree, give us some Canadian style troops!

Making it black or white (either-or) was not my intention. I could see us going both ways but until the nice folks at CB give us more data I'd bet on Ariadna.

I just looked at historical backgrounds, current climate, direction for the future, my work experience - Ariadna made more sense thats all. One of the largest shared economies currently between two countries is with Canada and the US - we're kinda linked... not to everyone's like. I could see quite a few of us hooking up with the Kiwis and the Auzzies and our relationship with the Indians is pretty good - There are quite a few CND's out and about working in the old French-Indo China, but Ariadna would make a lot more sense. It's also got that pioneer edge that litters lots of early Canadian Lit.

I'd like the odd Canadian style troop but I don't think we'd carry enough of a individual indentity to be able to make up a independent Sectoral. If we did get a CND mini I'd like it to be one of the following:

- Radio Operator aka a Jimmy (Royal Canadian Signals Corps) since our Corps is older then anyone elses Signals Branch in the Commonwealth (little known fact). Could be a neat mini Hacker like the current Sepc Op.
- Pathfinder - hardest CAF course we've got - they set up DZ. (Funny thing, lots of SAS, Delta, Rangers, Force Reccon get in on the course... lets say the pass rate is very low even for old hats at Tier 1 operations), think a SAS with a focus on Stealth
- Pioneer (Specialised Combat Engineer - known for awesome Beards and going deep into the woods and setting stuff up ahead of everyone else), a sneaky woodsman combat engineer
- Mounty (RCMP) - an alternative to a Loup Garous maybe...?
- Canadian Ranger - Artic survival reserve unit

I'd be neat and I hope CB in the future takes a look at some of the great white norths offerings.

Fair enough, sorry if I sounded accusatory.

Looking at your list of possible units it seems like a Canadian troop would almost work better as some sort of mercenary unit, especially if CB ever (as I hope they do) makes an O12 army, based on current Canadian involvement in United nations forces and peacekeeping efforts it would make since that we would continue involvement with a new nations oversight group like the O12.

So if there ever is an O12 army, either as a unique faction or a mercenary list, maybe we can make are way into that.

Oh you didnt sound accusatory at all. This has been lots of fun exploring how some Canadian representation could end up in my favorite table top minuature game.

Mercs - like the possible Mercs sectoral, White Stars (I think), yozah that would be damn fancy.
