Le Chasseur

by dexstarslab » September 23rd, 2014, 8:54 am

Since buying another starter is somewhat out of the question, I have doubles of everthing except for the Chasseur, I was just wondering if anyone had taken the female Chasseur and convereted the ADHL to the Rifle. Any pictures would help, I just need an idea before I end up cutting too much.

Looking at the Unit Unpack list, the ADHL is completely separate:

both hands have grips in them, so no major hacking required!

The Tankhunter double blister has a spare rifle in it. The Metro DEP sorta does, but there's a blank spot on the side of the backpack to put the loose rifle. Otherwise, you could swipe the AP sniper rifle from the Intel and convert it.

You can also use the riffle arm of the intel if you didn't use it on him.

The Intel's Rifle arm is a curious beast, and not the greatest bit for conversions really.

The detachable bit is at the elbow, so the only usable part is the forearm through to the hand/rifle.

Which is OK for purposes of this conversion.

Another option would be to snag, say, the Halqa troops from Haqq.

Well, I'll tell you guys about it as soon as I have received the mini. I might post pictures of the results when it's done, if it can help others.

If you're considering the Halqa as a source of gun it's worth pointing out that the Hafza with his arms crossed over his chest comes with a loose rifle with a little nub to line it up with a spot on his back. Probably the easiest modern style rifle to get, and the model looks fine without it.

Can you made a few more photos of the left arm?

I'm curious about how you did the conversion.

Yes, I will send that tomorrow. I am not going to pretend that it's looking super good. I would never use that model for display. But, once painted, it's going to be good enough for table games. By the way, I have used her hair to strengthen the arm (the tip is "touching" her elbow). It also helps to make it look less huge, because even after filing that arm like crazy, it still looked big...
