Greetings Data-Sphere!
My name is Daniel, I'm 25 and live in Budapest, Hungary.
This is my second attempt with Infinity. The first happened in 2012 when I found the Military Order starter. I got super excited and bought some stuff, started painting but it just didn't click at the time. I guess the lack of certain painting skills was the main deterring factor.
When I saw the Operation: Icestorm I decided it is time to give this game another try - I preordered the Gen Con Pack and painted up two minis with test colourschemes and so far I liked it. So let's see how it goes this time.

Ah yes... the painting slump. I've experienced that a lot in the various games I play.
Don't worry! We all get stuck at some point. Just gotta come back to it when you're feeling brave/adventurous. Try out new things. Experiment. Learn from others. Nothing is really off limits! Angel is supposed to be releasing a book some time next year all about painting miniatures, so you could definitely use that if you get stuck again.

Yeah, that was quite a big slump for me. I was mediocre at best and anything I finished wasn't good enough because I felt I could do better. But watching a lot of tutorials, getting a proper wet palette and a lot of experimenting without any pressure helped me get through it.
The Hobby section is my favorite place to hang out on any forum, you can count on me posting there!

I know the painting slump. My remedy is doing a project that is quite easy to finish and it doesn't matter if it fails a bit. Like making ruins, woods or rocks as terrain.

Scrath build is really not my forte but I seeing an idea coming into life - that is priceless. Also I want to 'build' an Infinity table in the future so it is never too late to start hunting for ideas.
I usually use a 'painting journal' kind of thing to keep myself motivated - it helped with my PP stuff.

Might I suggest posting up a painting thread in the Miniatures section? It can help you keep motivated, as well as get some advice from more experienced painters. We've seen a lot of people improve lots this way!
