Ice storm profiles

So folks what do we think?
Brigada looks like he might see more table time, might need to see the hacking changes to fully evalute him though.

Iguana pilot gets 4-4

Healer looks like she will give some close range teeth to a moira link. Having Odd would have been nice but might have made her exp ccw a bit awkward.

Credit to Phlyk for the image.

The Reverend Healer looks to be a bit of a wash, unless the super duper Bipandra combo is actually super duper.

I also wander if all Reverends might end up with Mimetism. I could see that. Either Nomads just don't get it, but get cheaper, or Nobody gets it and everybody will be happy.

Healer is listed as "HI" but doesn't get 2 wounds. Mobile Brigada is listed as "IP". What?
Maybe there's a typo and they're swapped? Could "IP" be "Independent" or something like that?

Yeah there looks to be some typos. Some of the pano stuff has CAP instead of SWC.

Yeah, it's a typo. The Reverend is MI just like the other Reverends.

IP = Infanteria Pesada= heavy infantery, they forgot to translate it from spanish.

Alguaciles now have Cubes.

Notice that the Grenzer is basically a Wildcat with MSVL1, extra ARM and some badass gunz. Pretty cheap, compared to the HRL Wildcat.

Which is not a bad choice IMO.
Plus HRL Wildcat gets the template effect.

The Grenzer is so good, and the Healer is going to find her way into almost every list.
Vanilla? WIP14 Doctor yes please. Bakunin? Links! If she can get a link to +3BS, with her higher BS.. nice. Still better to let the Moiras/Custodiers overwatch while the Doc watches the rear though, which seems appropriate.

This is the profiles in Icestorm, which assumes vanilla forces on both sides. Presumably the full profiles will include their linkability.

I believe Bostria said she's linkable with Moiras.

And Grenzer being MI seem logical that they will be able to link.

Also why would the profile say something about links, these aren't Sectorials. Plus Links are now indicated by that fancy Sectorial AVA logo. ;)

I think it was confirmed that she would be linkable with moiras in Bakunin.
I wouldnt expect to see her too much in vanilla though, her close range skills probably dont offset the lack of odd and utility when compared to a Custodier.

I don't think i'll use the reverend healer very often, but then again i don't play reverend ANYTHING unless it's the Custodier, so that's not really that surprising. For nomads, having a WIP 14 doc is certainly something, i suppose, but she's a slow doc. :/

The Grenzers i cannot make my mind up about. Seems like a merge between Intruders and Wildcats. Nearly as dangerous as Intruders, but as fragile as Wildcats. I guess it's the primary linkable MI for Tunguska, but unless i don't have points for an Intruder i don't think they'll see much play in Vanilla.

Slow doc, true, but it doesn't matter much when she gets some Zondbots...

I guess both new units fall into the MI trap in vanilla, with a lot of better profiles for almost the same cost. (Intruders, Prowlers, Sin Eaters, Custodier), but have there place in there Sectorials.

Seeing the grenzer made me think that perhaps wildcats will get a discount in prices. Does the extra 3 on BTS costs as much as +1arm+msv1+breakerPistol
BTW given the buffs to bsg and granades i think we'll be seeing more wildcat with bsg and flash granades.
Who can say no to a Bs22 R3 Dam14 wildcat?
Also, morans got a huge buff, i think they'll see much more boarding shotgun action and more chances to survive the reactive turn given their infiltrator + mimetism.
ARO vs bs 18 + mimetism? Yes please!

She will also be linkable with Custodiers(said by Bostria in the designing Infinity BoW video). And I agree on that she is foremost a great addition to the Bakunin links where she will be a huge boost.

As far as I'm aware, Geckos are the only TAGs without ECM.

No, he didn't. Bostria said "she's a healer for the moiras and custodiers". Never once he mentioned anything about a link. So it's definitely not confirmed, but it's something we can suspect happening. I'm not gonna bet on it though. The concept art also showed different weapon options for the healer so they'll be a whole unit of their own, most likely linkable with themselves. Though it's not unheard of to have a unit which is linkable with itself and some other unit, Imperial Agents for example.

For me it is same as saying she is linkable with both Moiras and Custodiers, I do not understand how you could interpret it differently.. Bostria already said she will link with Moiras in another video.

They are both in need of more link options. Reverend Healers being linkable with themselfs would be very strange, a link of all doctors?!? My guess is AVA 1, maybe AVA2 for Bakunin where she will be able to link with the other Reverend links.

I don't think a link of all doctors is any more strange than a link of hackers (Custodiers).

You wouldn't happen to have a link and a point in time on the video where Bostria said they'd be linkable?

It is in 35.30 in the unboxing BoW video http://www.beastsofwar.com/infinity/unb ... -icestorm/
He says fireteam with Morias but I think he just forgot Custodiers as he later mentions he being the healer for both troops.

A link with only hackers possible as the Custodiers is unique so would a link with only doctors be. The difference is that the use of multiple hackers is way better than multiple doctors. Specially with the way Custodiers work with HD+ burst 2 flash pulse and markers.

Ah, I missed that spot earlier, thanks.
"Will probably make fireteams with the Moiras". That's enough to put me cautiously optimistic. Would certainly reaise the stocks of the Moiras in my eyes if I can drag along a good specialist behind my Moira assault team.
