With the new reveals of N3 dropping, we begin to wonder when exactly we are intended to cut over to the new edition for official play.
I was assuming ITS 2014 ends in December and should be completed with the same rule set (2nd ed), and then when ITS 2015 starts in January every official game from that point forward should be N3 based.
Is that correct?

That's what I'd assume.
Although it really all does depend on WHEN the rules drop.
If we in the antipodes due to shipping errors or delays, don't get them until after ITS 2015 starts, then there might be an issue (but we ran events prior to ITS without issue and we can carry on without if needed).
Not for me, though. I won't be playing in any ITS2015 tourneys (I only play 1 tourney a year, on a certain, set date. Next year I'm going somewhere else - I keep missing a mate's birthday piss-up, and I'm NOT missing 10 in a row).
So for me at least, N3 will kick in sometime in 2015 with tournaments maybe to follow in 2016
