What are some weapons that do not exist in the game of Infinity that you think should exist? Or maybe they shouldn't, but it would be a lot of fun if they did.

For me, off the top of my head, it's three: something with circular blast and Adhesive ammo, a limited shot guided missile launcher, and a wider variety of Guided weapons.

The former because of how entertaining it would be. I mean, come on... can't you see it? Enormous glue grenade goes off. Hilarity ensues!

The second because I think that it would be fun to have the option to play around with GML without investing in it quite as heavily as a full GML list. I think we don't see a lot of GML (at least in my meta) because either it's a big chunk of your list or it's not worth it. You've got to have your HD+s and repeaters, your FOs, your GML REM, someone to protect the GML REM, and a backup plan. If you had a model with the equivalent of a DEP with Guided ammo, however, it might be worth it to play more of the FO versions of ordinary troops, and then bring in a couple of grenade launchers just in case.

And the latter for similar reasons. I like the idea of guided ammo in this setting and system, but it's just too limited. If there were more guided sniper rifles, guided grenade launchers, guided rocket launchers, and so on, we might see more of it on the table, which would increase the utility of hackers, and - I think - generally be a lot of fun.

What do you think would be neat?

EM HGL on a light TAG for Nomads. Hm.. yes, that's exactly what I want.

It'd be a terrible idea to actually do though, I mean, it'd be so ridiculously powerful. 2xE/Mitter? Slightly less insane.

The circular glue weapon is a great idea, a one or two-shot stickyfoam bomb.. fantastic.


I don't think more Guided is really needed, but I don't much like Guided weaponry. Another capable body with a nice gun always seems more useful to me, even with several HD+ in a list; HD+ is so much better than HD because it gets Flash Pulse! Pew pew lasers on WIP are just the best.

Deployable HMGs that do suppression fire and never go away until destroyed.

Not a weapon, but i'd like to see "humming" amno, it would Grant a +3 bs bonus when making direct shot to a F-o marked target.

Also a single use deployable combi rifle with total réaction. (yes i loved perfect-dark on N64)

Glue grenades would amuse me to no end. So would glue-mines.

Ordinary mines and grenades should do Shock damage.

Sentry guns I'm kinda torn about, because there are REMs that pack a weapon and Total Reaction. Why bother with a sentry gun that you need to unpack to set up when you can just have the BigDog REM follow you, or order it to stand over there with the gun on?

Maybe more Guided ammo (or more Guided multisnipers), since I've seen a couple different types of guided bullets recently. One laser-guided, and another that's guided like an antitank missile.

What I think is really missing, though, is grenades in general. Everyone should have access to frag grenades, and smoke grenades. I'm seriously talking about ~4 frags and two smokes (or ZVsmokes) on pretty much every single model.

Other, more exotic grenade types may be a bit limited. Engineers should probably have access to EM grenades as a general rule, to disable monofields at a distance. Police units (Loup, all the Imperial Service except Kuang Shi) should probably have access to Flash grenades and smoke or tear-gas grenades, with military frags and others as an option. There should probably be some tear-gas grenades or equivalent (stink-gas?). Acts kinda like a swarm grenade or Mono where the area of effect remains in play, but makes affected models "Unconscious" instead of dead.

HGL... hrm... I'm thinking Dual-Purpose grenades, where target directly hit takes AP+DA or AP+EXP, everyone else under the template takes Shock damage, and the HGL needs a higher rate of fire. B2 or B3 with those Dual Purpose grenades.

I'd like silencers on models with camo or TO, which would give you a chance to remain as a camo marker after shooting.

And a fix to CC, so that Ninjas are worth 6 points more than a Spektr.

There are Police issued smoke GL's that are specifically aimed at only shooting smoke because they do not want to give Police access to something like an explosive GL. I believe there was one in 37mm which was given that bore so it could launch projectiles large enough to deliver a decent amount of smoke, but couldn't launch standard issue 40mm grenades. I believe the British have a multi-smoke launcher that has a tubular three round drum. This kind of thing makes perfect sense for something like the Celestial Guard who are "supposed to be" police.

Along that same thought line, it'd be neat if there was a Riot GL that fired the traditional smoke, but also had a template with Stun for simulated Tear Gas analogue or other less than lethal rounds, like flash or concussion.

"Humming" ammo would be musical bullets that played the tune to Colonel Bogey when they were used.

I know that there are several different grenade launcher calibers. I've seen a 26.5mm one from Eastern Europe that normally shoots some weird rocket-assisted tear gas round (IIRC), there's a Russian 30mm, a Chinese 35mm, 37mm in most of Europe and the US, and then the more modern 40mm (and a Soviet 40mm caseless).

37mm is an old, old caliber for explosive rounds. Heard of the Vickers 1-pounder 'pom-pom' gun? That's a 37mm. There's a thing in the St. Petersburg Declaration of 1864 about minimum size of an explosive shell being 1lb, and a 37mm is the smallest caliber that lets you have a 1lb shell with reasonable internal volume.

American Military Police use 40mm grenade launchers, not 37mm. I suspect that the sole reason most American police use 37mm tear-gas is because that's what launcher caliber they bought way back when. So now they have a pretty big stockpile of 37mm tear-gas shells, they're not about to buy a 40mm launcher when doing so would make them replace all their existing gear! The 40mm grenades were developed by the US in the 1960s, while 37mm as a riot gun shooting batons or tear gas was developed in the 1930s.

Also, I really want some viral grenades and/or viral LGL/HRL/LRL/ML for my Hassassins. They allready have viral (sniper)rifles,mines and CCW, so why not complete that. Maybe even some kind of chemical flamethrower with viral ammo.
With rules like bioimmunity coming up and more and more troops getting high BTS it wouldn´t be too harsh ... well ok, maybe it would

I want some sort of long range plasma weapon. I was also a little sad that Ikadrons got Fire DTWs instead of something Plasma based. Basically, I just love Plasma.

I would favor more Grenades, except that I feel like the existing thrown Grenade ranges are too short to be useful, and the scatter rules are terrible for them.

I'd be pretty keen on area denial weapons that affect both players. IE, fire grenades, that create a persistant circular area of fire on the board for however long.

Not keen at all on pretty much every FO related suggestion. This isn't warhammer, out of sight attacks should not be easy to pull off
