Speculative shot around a corner

You can declare a speculative shot around the corner of a building right? So if two models are hugging adjoining walls of a building, you could throw a grenade towards the corner to catch a model standing just around that corner for example.
The rules are totally clear, you don't have to necessarily be dealing with a parabolic fire/shadow zone situation?

You can target a model that is out of LoF by centering the template on a piece of ground that IS in LoF, using speculative shot, correct.

Completely legal. It comes at a difficulty modifier of -6 to your PH (for throwing) or -6 to BS (for shooting) and is considered a long skill.
It's not so much about shooting around corners, but more about shooting close to targets hiding behind total cover, close to the vertical edge. It also negates the cover bonus to armour saves that the wall would normally grant.
