October releases are out there.

Just for completeness' sake.

I like the new Janissary (though I doubt I'll be needing a new HMG one, in 2ed 2 HMGs in a link made sense, in N3, it might be not so).

JSA will, prbably, be happy with their specialized Support Pack.

The new Dog Warriors are nice. Definitely an improvement over the old one.

Can't say a thing about the Tohaa.

The WarCor... well, he was needed long ago. The model doesn't appeal to me, though, at least not enough to make me retire my proxy and buy this one (the special editon, WarCor Only, is way better).
Any idea whether his hovercam drone will have any in-game effect, or it is just for show?

I've never used the Janissary from the Starter Pack, and never bought the old HMG ones. But I always loved the sculpt, and I must have the HMG one! :P
I like the Kotail! The Tohaa are really diverting from their previous 'triad-ways' and character. But I like it.

Aww, and I preferred the old Rifle Janissary to the new one, but I have both (the new one converted into a Doctor), asnd another new one in my to-be-painted box.

Janissary Pain Trains aren't half bad, you know :)

They are both good, but the new design is much more Islamic Iron Man to me than the old sculpts. I like them, but haven't found a place in my lists for them. N3 might change that. Religious in QK is pretty nice, especially with the upcoming changes to Retreat. Although I've never thought about linking them... :/ HI links aren't really something I did in the past, although I've been tempted for Azra'ils once.
I personally really hope the Djanbazans won't have too many big changes if they get a resculpt. I really like their helmets. The hacker girl is not as flavourful as the Rifle and HMG ones (sniper is too obscured by the rifle). They share many design elements with the old janissaries.

Hacker girl is tiny! I wouldn't mind some muscly super-women in my Djan ranks. I am hoping Regen will allow Doctor re-rolls or something like a Cube does.

That too. I only own her as to not have a link of clones. :p

Don't forget that "normal" human sizes range from 150 to 190 (5 to 6.4 for you weird imperial system lovers)
That's nearly a 33% increase
Too many people are worried about size differences in their miniatures, while it's absolutely normal in real life :)

Jannisaire legs are too thin and remind me of a mini-TAG rather than an armored human.
This new digital sculpting trend is a mixed bag. Some scuplts have been excellent, other inferior to their handmade originals.

JSA Support Box is going on my list; I've always wanted a pair of Toku. Everything else(barring Warcor) are neat sculpts, but nothing I really want/need for a list.

About the only things I liked in this month's releases were the drone for the warcor (don't need a warcor) and the Janissary. The Jan won't actually be out for a while in the flesh, so I can wait for it anyway.

I already have a converted up tokosetsu doc for my JSA. Using a monocast keisotsu's legs and the upper half of the zanshi doc, a bit of GS and a pin. So I don't need that box.

I don't have a lot (any, really) for werewolves in my SF, so no love for the mcDoggies.

Another month where I can save money. A good thing, as 3rd ed rules will eat a chunk of my money that I would otherwise use for miniatures.

The problem with many of the different sized minis is that their heads are changing size too. The 190 cm Dutch guy and the 150 cm Viet guy have only a small difference in head diameter, not so the minis. :(

Actually, human beings have very different head sizes too
not only in proportions (the quartermaster was always struggling to find a beret / kepi that would fit my big head), but in overall size / volume

OK, noted down, measure heads next time around O:I minis.

I can tell you that the PanO Fusiliers are around 33-34mm (at least the female and one of the males) and the exclusive Knight 38-39. All measures "extended" (trying to follow the bent legs, twisted neck, contrapposto, etc), "ground" to "top" (so maybe 1-2 mm less due to boots, helmet, berets, etc). From memory, the heads are same size or even the helmet was smaller (or impression was that).

I'm glad the Doc is available separately. I already have the others, after all.

But boy, that's one tall lady! The male Tokusetsu towers over the Keisotsu, and she is just as tall as he is.
