Porto Pulpo crawler

Well,
Apart from Infinity, I dabble in quite a lot of other games... one of which is Mordheim.
Now my two sons have always had a vivid interest in "daddy's little soldiers", so I decided to 'make' a game for them, very simplified, of course as they are 5 and 7 years old.

So, in order to play Port Pulpo Crawler, we need

6-sided dice and measure-sticks cut to size

A table full of scenery and figs, Gobbo Pirates (Confrontation; Rackham)on one side, deep-sea-gribblies (various manufacturers) on the other

And two gameing enthousiasts, ready to oppose evil daddy with his aquatic minions

The rules are simple : the Goblin Pirates want to get to their ship, but the critters from the abyss want the Goblins to stay for supper.
You move 6" every turn (the length of the measuring stick) except for the Goblin in the wheelchair, he goes double speed.
Blunderbusses can shoot flame-template or small round template.
You auto-hit, wound on a 4+. No saves at all anywhere.
Small figs have one attack and one wound; biggies have 3 attacks and three wounds.
Monkey can climb and/or leap the entire distance of his move.

Sea-critters outnumber the Goblins, but have no ranged attacks at all, where the Goblins have access to Pistols, Harpoons, Blunderbusses and Cannons (well, one small cannon, on wheels)

A small move for a fig, but a huge leap for Warre, moving his very first fig ever in a skirmish wargame

After the game, won by the Gobbos, I had two lads excitingly reliving the adventures they just had, planning possible new scenarios, asking whether we'd have another go the next day, and trying to explain to mom all what they had done :toot:
