this topic is a follow-up to my Hard & Heavy list here. I got to thinking I might not need to spread my models so thin. What if I could make a list that concentrated the hitting power into a few key models; sounds risky, so that's why I need your help! My previous list clocked in at 14 models, this one at only 10, and without a single cheerleader! And, funnily enough, it takes up exactly 300pts and 6swc, which leads me to think 'it was meant to be'

This list has three potential targets for Lieutenant; and they're all Sakiel. This is both good and bad: the Sakiel is fairly resilient, but can also become Impetuous and might end up too far to the front. This is why the Lt is in the Ectros Triad, the group which is the most static and has the toughest key model in it. In any case a WIP13 priority roll isn't too bad at all.
Triad #1
Meet the Corps' firebase; the Ectros is armed with an HMG to lay down heavy fire while its comrades stay hidden behind cover, protecting the flanks. This triad should move up early in the game and setup position in a place with a good view of the surroundings. If push comes to shove, the Triad is well equipped for mobile combat, but that shouldn't start happening until later turns.
Triad #2
This group is the hunter's Triad, and should be setup to either hunt specific Camo targets or perform counterinsurgency and take down enemies that attempt to sneak to close to threaten your sides. This Triad is more mobile than #1, but is not an all-comers fighting force.
Triad #3
The final Triad is the mobile element of the army; moving up aggressively and putting heavy pressure down on the Active turns with B5 Spitfire salvos and plenty of smoke. Achieving mission objectives should be done with this Triad where possible.
Reserve
The single reservist is the Gao-Tarsos HMG. It's meant to touch down and function as a sledgehammer to rampage inside the enemies bacfield. The threat of this model alone should coerce the enemy into defensiveness and will punish him for spreading out his models too much. To avoid Hackers it might be necessary to downgrade the Combat Jump, but coming in from the table sides should not be a problem if you send it in at the start of your Active turn.
