New to Infinity & Aleph! Progressive lists

Okay, so basically I am pretty new to infinity but I like to do a lot of research before I get started and committed to buying mini's and painting them. I try to avoid getting stuff that I can't make use of while my decisions are made / influenced by miniatures I especially like.

With that I'm looking / hoping to get suggestions on my proposed lists. I know I'm a little low on specialists but I haven't increased my list(s) up to 300 points just yet but I'm really looking to get some feedback and advice ^^.

Idea behind the list: Use Netrods to maximize orders as best as possible. The alternative is another Dakini Tacbot in exchange for all three. Outside of that I just plan to focus orders on Atalanta keeping the enemies heads down and picking off people wherever possible while the Naga and Deva and bots focus on a defensive reactive line.

PENTHESILEA - I love this miniature and actually want to make use of it within one of my lists
so I came up with this one as in a standard list I find it hard to squeeze her points in.
Idea behind the list: Attempt to use the Dasyus and Atalanta to pick off stray units wherever possible while maintaining a patrol around terrain using the high manueverability of the Lamedh Rebot's alongside Penthesilea. Assassinate TAG's and other important targets combining Lamedh electric pulse with Penthesilea Melee (-6 from pulse + another -6 for ikhol)

Questions
Some things I don't know much about though... Link teams? I don't really know anything about them, the bonuses for them or what to do with them. I know people like sectorial armies for certain reasons
also but I have no idea why that is either xD

Groups, how do they influence my in game. I got stuck with one setup saying I couldn't exceed 10 miniatures in a group but at the same time I don't know if randomly slipping one off into a group 2 would
affect my orders or how that would work even though the army builder said that it was okay to do.

I'm not officially an ALEPH player yet (only a handful of models), but I'd like to give some advice as I haven't seen anyone else reply yet.

Don't worry about fire teams for now. For one, they're only available to sectorial armies. Two, a lot of the models you've included in your lists are NOT available to ALEPH's single sectorial. So don't sweat it. Plenty people play without sectorials. A very good subsect of those people win a lot of their games.

A Combat Group is what the builder was telling you: A max of 10 models. These models share orders amongst themselves. You're welcome to having multiple Combat Groups, but keep in mind that regular orders can only be spent amongst the same group. Irregular orders can only be spent on the model generating the order, so make no difference here. As far as I know, the maximum number of Combat Groups is 4, but I could be wrong here.

Yeah, unlike the other factions I've seen Aleph only has access to one sectorial and I have to say 90%of the models used for that sectorial aren't my favored choices. It's a shame there isn't one based around the bots, nagas and infiltrating camouflaged goodlyness.

And yeah thats how I figured groups worked, which is unfortunate, being only one model over the cap the segregation from my main actions pool just isn't worth while, better to recycle the points alongside something else for a more expensive addition. like I had done in some of these lists.

I really like the idea of the 200pts just keep moving, making use of the fastest movers in the aleph arsenal is quite fun alongside the biker character. I'm determined to try it out eventually.


Vanilla force 1 and 2 are what I'm really hoping will work out okay, I LOVE the netrods giving me actions, while their easy to destroy if people catch sight of them, for only 4 pts I think their awesome.

Something I hadn't mentioned about combat groups:

You don't require 10 in one group before being able to create the other. So you could have, say, 11 models and put 6 in one group and 5 in the other.

Just something to consider.

Yeah I thought so, I just don't want to find myself in a situation going "I really wish I had the orders from group 1 to use on my unit in group 2.." because that would suuuuuuuuck for the sake of a single mini.
