Gotta say that William Freaking Wallace is loads of fun to play! I think I may stick with this army for awhile and see what kinda damage I can do. I came in 4th outta 12. Frenchies were first, then Tohaa and JSA.

I've been playing around with a couple lists so I figured I'd post them. No experience with them yet though. I am a little partial to the last list. Love Mormaers, but it would also allow me to swap out the T2 Mormaer for a MK12 Wulver...

The real pain I find with scot armies is that we pay a lot for our FO. You only have a single choice as well which I feel limit's them a little.

Well, I guess this is one of the things that's going to change - you should have mroe FO choices. Caledonian Volunteers, Scots Guards and perhaps even 3rd Highlander Greys are, IMO, good units for a FO.

SAS is nice, but you don't want to rely on Camo skirmisher FOs only.

Plus, I'd expect some more Hacking Devices apart form Isobel's. What type will they be, and what actually will be they capable of, remains to be seen.

Well lets hope indeed that we get a few more FO options. Like you say most other forces can use FO's from the basic troop options.

To be honest I'd rather use the Foxtrot FO over the SAS one as well. Purely down to the fact that I try to keep my specialists from getting into the mix. also having a specialist that could be part of a link team would be nice as so many others have that option.

That is, actually, not exactly true.
In Ariadna, you have only Line Kazaks as a basic troop (Line Troops) with FO.
In Yu Jing, only Keisotsu Butai.
PanO is spoiled on this particular edge - Fusiliers, Acontaciemento Regulars (but he costs 1 SWC) and Auxilia (20pts!) - I'm not counting Order Sergeants, for it is the TO Camo Specialist Sergeant costing almost 30pts.
In Haqqislam, it's Halqa (pretty specialized for a LI) and Hafza (even more specialised), both costing about 20pts. As a Haqq player, I'd say - add 4 points, and take an al'Hawwa (Camo Infiltrator FO).
Among Nomads, it's only the Algulacile FO.
Combined Army is good - both sectorials get covered here (Vanguard Infantry and Seed Soldiers).
Aleph will do with a Thorakitai FO.
Tohaa too, with a Kamael FO.

so, while any vanilla army has Line Troop FO, the same can not be said about many sectorials. Including, indeed, the Caledonian Highlanders.
