Right, so this is my First Ever infinity list, for 200 points, based off the Yu Jing starter box. All C&C is happily accepted.

Shang Ji Lieutenant - 42 Points
Guilang with MULTI Sniper Rifle - 39 Points
Domaru Butai with Boarding Shotgun - 36 Points
Tiger Soldier with Boarding Shotgun - 26 Points
Celestial Guard with COMBI Rifle and Light Grenade Launcher - 18 Points
3 Zhanshi with Combi Rifle - 33 Points
Total 194 Points

How familiar are you with the rules? You mentioned "First Ever" which makes me think this would be your first go at the game. If so, I would highly recommend something at lower point range and fewer models to get used to the rules. Orders and AROs can take a little to get used to.

I'm playing my first game tomorrow with a borrowed army, this is only proposed stuff, I own the Guilang and the Tiger Soldier.

I usually demo with 75pt. Basically 4 models, 1 HI and 3 LI.

1 Shang Ji Lieutenant

For example. No worries about LT, Retreat, etc. Focus on the basics of Orders, ARO, FtF rolls, etc.


I'm not saying you wouldn't have fun with that list, just don't want to see you overwhelmed in rules and not have fun. You might be fine with that, but I don't know you and wanted to side on caution.

Oh don't worry, I only mean to actually use this once I have grasp of the rules! First few games will probably be small games like that

As for the list I don't see anything "wrong" with it. Only thing I would consider if swapping out the Celestial Guard with LGL for a Celestial Guard with Spitfire.
A higher burst/damage Spitfire would be useful, but certainly just my style and preference.

Ok, Any Ideas for expanding it to 300? (planning what to buy in the future)

Generally Infinity doesn't slow grow like many other games. It's best to think of Infinity as buying the models you like and decide on a point range and see what fits into it.

It also really depends on the type of game you're playing. Adding a TAG like the Guijia (sp?) would easily each most of those 100pts and be very useful.

Yep. Your only rules for list-building are "always have enough regular orders" and "always have a tactical plan". Everything else is optional.
