Underground Lasers Terrain Review

From the Blog!

Took some time with this review and have been quite pleased with the performance so far.

Durable, flavorful, cheap, and easy.

Seconding that, with some of the best customer service I've ever seen! Terrain is really intuitive to build after you figure out your first building, which is easy, due to helpful instructional videos.

Advertising worked, and I'm glad it did.

Underground laser's stuff got shipped very quickly for me, and the build quality is very good.

While overall good. I think their designs are a bit weaker aesthetically than other high profile MDF terrain lines, but still sturdy.

There's stuff on their kickstarter that hasn't made it onto their online store that's a bit stronger.

I also think their notion of making items such that they can be torn down to store flat, while good on paper, limits what can be done, and we really need a good US mdf terrain manufacturer.

Vertrucio,

I agree with just about everything you've said! I'm not a big fan of the aesthetics, but I can certainly see the appeal to others. It's not bold, but very distinctive.

I wasn't aware of their kickstarter, though, so I'll be looking forward to that stuff coming out and having a peek at that.

His aesthetics have improved with each new iteration, especially when you compare the original Mk1s to the Mk3s from the second kickstarter. Towards the end of this month will be his third one, and the facebook previews are really promissing; I highly recommend taking a peak.
