Futura City studio table

by RedDragon » January 6th, 2015, 2:07 pm

Hey guys,

A happy new year to everyone! :)

I've been working on a Futura City custom table.

Image

You can find more WIP pictures on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SystemaGaming

There are a few new pieces (the bridges, circular planters...), that will come out as new Futura City sets soon.

Now I need to paint the whole thing... I'll post more picture, when stuff gets done. :)

Really liking those elevation blocks...

Considering releasing those as a product any time?

Nice to see more scatter terrain. I've finished building my city buildings, and am looking forward to more of that line!

Excellent.

I've been thinking, in the last few years, that an extended elevation level (at least as high as a TAG) would solve a lot of scenery things in an Infinity game. Your implementation is even too extended, but you get the idea. I envision such level upon about 2/3 of the gaming surface, more or less in the center of the table, with lot of stairs.

It wont be a regular product, but I'll probably make it available as a special mail order thing. :)

I think this table will make an amazing Varuna table, PanO's ocean planets.
You fill the lower levels with 'water'.. that epoxy clear stuff. It even has these nice doors that open directly on the surface. You can use them as ports and harbours. The doors that have a little street in front of them will work great for housing. ^^ so many possibilities! Love this project. I see so many ways to make this an amazing showcase table.

Ah... shit...

Please excuse the profanity; my wallet just slapped me for the way I looked at it. Something like "You're just using me for my money!" or something. I don't know.

I uh... may need to get in touch with you on shipping over some of those tiles.

Oh, please, make it a regular product. Just do it as pre-order only with production time of 4 weeks or something.
This is just too great to not offer it for sale.
Pretty please...

That's what I meant with "not a regular product". Regular products I have in stock and usually ship the next working day, but the table tiles I'll cut to order, so there will definitely be a delay or even a waiting line, if i get many orders. But it will be available for purchase, don't worry. :)

Yesterday I played my first game on the table (and second N3 game). It was PanO against Nomads and the Nomads won, but just barely! :)

Yes, the very same! :)

A friend and I played a game on it yesterday and he uploaded the pictures. A lot of the details still need to be finished, but the bulk of the paintjob is done.

@schoon

The triangular gardens and circular planters will be next. I need to finnish the paintjob on those and then I'll put them on the web store. I'll hurry up. ;)

A few of pics from a tournament we had this weekend:

Was going to ask exactly the same thing
Do you have a (rough) estimate as to when we can expect them? (few weeks or few months?)
Want to order more stuff from you guys but I might as well wait for the whole lot :)

Definetely a few weeks, not months. I just need to finish the paintjob on the bridges, planters and gardens and they'll go on the web store.

Hey guys, just a quick update.

Sorry it's taking so long with the sets I promised, but I had quite some problems with the laser recently. First the power supply failed and right after that the laser tube itself. :?

Right now I'm building up stock again and after that I'll be releasing the bridges and planters.

The tiles are already available, but as a custom set. Send me an email (contact info is on my web store) for more details. Price is 220€ and includes shipping to European countries. For overseas it will be more.
