Proxy for the Tuareg?

Hey.

It seems really quiet here. Did Datasphere die while I was away?

Anyways, I am looking for a proxy for the Tuareg outside Corvus Bellis miniatures. Some sort of fremen type perhaps.

Well, definitely not much activity here. Which is IMO caused by... lack of activity.

I see you've asked the same question in the official forum.

Fremen, you say... but which type of Fremen? Most desert people prefer loose capes, not the tight-fitting stillsuits.
Tough cookies... there aren't that many futuristic-desert-dwellers who are not post-apoc styled.

I can link you that: http://miniaturesofthenorth.com/#/deser ... 4579905428
Because my otherwise favourite Repaer Minis doesn't have anything Touareg'y... You could go for some cloaked assassin (I'd swap that flame-bladed dagget for a typical fighting knife).
Though you could get a sprue of hats from them and convert some other model into a very Arabic one with the turban.

Thanks Errhile. I asked here too because they seemed reluctant to mention miniatures from other manufacturers. I'll check out your links!

Also, I do not want to use a proxy that can easily be mistaken by my opponent (like a Lasiq).

Also, doesn't have to be "fremen". Anything and everything that could suitably work as a Tuareg is welcome.

You might want to consider building such mini from bits offered by various manufacturers.

Puppets Wars comes to mind in the first place, just check those heads: http://puppetswar.eu/product.php?id_product=277, seam a good start for me.

Well, they have whole squads of "Desert Strikers" in their online store.

Just seems to be a bit expensive to pay for 10 of them when you need just one Touareg.

That's the best I've seen so far. Might just go with a simple Ghulam headswap.

Or a cheaper option would be to greenstuff a turban over the Lasiqs head, like I did for mine : viewtopic.php?p=36214#p36214
