Just trying to work out the appropriate level of deceptive shenanigans I can do with this guy.
I'm running a list with a Hafza Lieutentant - how far is legal to go for who you hide as and how much (misleading) information you can present? Do I get to say all of his normal information?
So if I disguise him as a Ghulam Forward Observer, so I say Ghulam FO, or Ghulam with a Rifle and Shotgun?

If he's disguised as a Ghulam FO, you say he's a Ghulam FO until he's revealed.
How far is it legal?
As far as you disguise him as a model of the same Silhouette value (S 2), and which could be legally fielded by the QK or vanilla Haqq army (depending on what you're using at the moment).
Any model, including characters and / or models you have already deployed full AVA of.
Of course, it is strongly suggested to represent him with a model appropriate for his disguise.

IIRC you can even disguise the number of deployable weapons with a Holo1 - which means you can field him as a Muyib minelayer with 2 Viral Mines and place a Hunzakut or other Camo/TO Camo trooper in his ZoC under a Camo marker as a "mine". The orders won't add up, of course, but your enemy can either miss it or be unable to figure out the reason.

I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but shouldn't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem deal with itself?
Excellent, that's how I thought it worked, just wanted to make sure. Didn't matter in the end, my opponent was able to repeatedly beat my 5 dice with his 1 lol

I've found it's effectiveness comes down to how well your opponent knows Haqqislam and also studies your open army list.
Hiding one as a Jannisary in your deployment zone is all well and good, but if your opponent adds up the number of Jannisaries on the table and knows that he is a fake, well you've got a bit assassination target right there.
It is definitely good fun though

The problem is which one is the fake. Sure, the opponent will know there's a Hafza present, probably as the LT because it's a very safe/easy way for QK. But by knowing these assumptions you can troll the opponent even worse

He can do the "you have 1 too many of X" and do the " that one *THERE* must be your Lt " gambit - but he's STILL gambling.
I've fielded 3 hafza + 2 Djanbazans (hafza all start out appearing as Djans).
One in DZ, "hiding" to lure out any infiltrating impersonating kill-things hoping for the fast LoL trick.
Haven't lost a hafza Lt yet. I don't do the obvious hide the Lt trick. I do the "this house guarded by shotgun 1 night a week. Guess which one?" gambit.

That's a neat idea with the LT 'trick'. I might try that in the next game; have a LI ghulam or similar stood on his own in the corner, as if you are hiding your Lt.
Then, enemy drop troop or impersonator comes in to kill him; even if they succeed, you then respond and it's loss of your LI vs. their more expensive trooper.
I sometimes hide mine as a Sekban at the back if I'm using Sekban in my list. I would say probably 80% of the time people don't bother to count how many you have, or else are not familiar enough with the Haqqislam list anyway.
