I'm very seriously thinking of picking these up, and wondering if you guys have any advice on how to use them?

At first I was skeptical, as warbands w/o smoke don't tend to last very long... but then I realized their potential value as Preta analogues - taking four as ablative wounds and area denial instead of active aggressors to protect against Alpha Strikes and TAG rush.

Thats about got me sold on them, but wondering if theres any tricks I've missed. The other ones that come to mind are Jamming a link leader, and shooting EM through walls via another legal target to wreck dudes in total cover. Pretty fun stuff right there, but maybe theres more - in particular, do you pair them with regular orders and if so, which ones.

Just like any other warband I tend to use them in a single combat group by themself (except for one, but we come to that later).
Their irregular + impetuous is enough to get them up the field, as I don´t use them as missiles but more of a deadly speedbump.

Keeping them in total cover at the end of your round will drive your enemy mad as he has to risk running into a Chainrifle , get immobilised/get his equipment shut down or if he get´s too close but doesn´t finish them off getting jammed.

With a coordinated order (with the one in the main group hanging back a little bit) they usually make it quite far and as the enemy tends not to shoot the one furthest away (who is the one with the large order pool to back him up), so you still got a nasty suprise up your sleeve to let him go havoc.

Just don´t try to rush first turn straight into a defensiv position full of ARO fire, let the enemy come to you. With the big radius of board control each of them has, they make a nice first turn blockade, second turn harassment, third turn Chaos :D

Also remember that they have WIP of 15 so use them to make those Discover checks and the like. The Jammer shoots through walls to. They are just amazing, aggressive, area denial that your opponent will use a lot to root out and kill those five little points.

Just to go into pedant mode for a sec, they are Light Infantry, not Warbands!

I think the other guys have hit on the key aspects of Ghazis - what makes them different. The WIP 15 makes them great for spotting camo'd dudes, Intuitive shots, and doing objectives when possible. And the Jammer means they can approach and be effective without putting themselves within enemy line of sight...which is where real warbands typically rely on their smoke.

I typically have 2 in a second group in my Hassassin Bahram, usually with a remote and a sit-and-watch type infantry like a Ghulam panzerfaust or Lasiq sniper.

Ghulam Panzer seems like a great order monkey for them!

Been trying to decide on Muttawiah, Kum... or both... for vanilla Haqq.

I pretty much play this game for the warbands and am really surprised that this gem fell under the radar

I've found that I like having them in my main combat group. No more than 2 so there's still at least 8 regular orders. All the better if it's Bahram, since my usual Muyib link will give me more order efficiency. Their 2 orders allow for good mobility, but their equipment begs to be used against targets of opportunity (TAGs and links or general clusters of LI or HI), and those might take more than 2 orders to reach.

Yep, I definitely use mine more like mines, because between the Fiday, Ragik, and Muyibs all moving up the table, I either need the Ghazi to just sit and wait and jam in the areas I'm not pushing, or try to stave off AD.

I use them in conjunction with Kums. The Kums move up smoking as they go and causing mayhem. Then the Muttawiah sneak up under cover of the smoke and add to said mayhem. they then mostly all die and the rest of my fore finishes the job.
