Infinity: Spec Ops Vs The Mad Doctor

Well since I've being you know building my Bug Hunt Corridors table recently I've being thinking it would be really fun to do a zombie game on this board when its finished and since I kind of love the whole ARO mechanic of Infinity I thought hell why not do the zombie in Infinity thing and why reinvent the wheel and make heros and all the jazz when the Spec Ops rules work pretty well. So here is a my little take on Zombies in Infinity.

The word attachment I've uploaded with this thread has all of the Zombie profiles in it. No cake for guessing where I got allot of the profiles from!

Here is a little snippet. The word document is much better laid out and contains the profiles for all the zombies and what not.

THE SCENARIO: The scenario is pretty simple there is a dubious Doctor on a space ship thing-a-ma-jig somewhere in some part of space. All the little super powers of the Human Sphere even the alien ones have found out about it at the same time and they have all sent their best Spec Op’s to stop & take the doctor somewhere uncomfortable and I don’t mean the back of a Volks Wagon. Now these Spec Ops aren’t stupid so they are prepared to team up and put their differences aside just for this mission or till at least the zombies are all dead!

nice Idea.

I cant say more at the moment because I cant download the word document. Can you upload it somewhere else than facebook that could be the problem because I dont use or have facebook.

after reading the rules: thats a pretty cool Idea. I think I will test them, when I have the Prototypes for my Corridor-System ready :mrgreen:

one thing: I miss the special rules for the Zombies or are they part of the mad-doctor-team?

Will update to clarify that; but to answer the question yes Team 2 - The Mad Doctor can draw any unit from The Legion of the Undead and the Mad Doctors Security Forces.

They have no 'special' rules they are basically a mix of super cheap 5 point impetuous order monkeys that are meant to swarm towards the nearest enemy to engage in CC. To facilitate that I'm actually going to go through and alter their movement values now so they will ALWAYS be moving towards the enemy even if they move their first movement value forward and the their second movement value backwards. So have special weapons or rules but that just to give the The Mad Doctor player something to work with and to add some tact to the game.

  • Core rules and fluff created


Version 2.0
  • Added some Doctors and Engineers to the Team 2 - The Mad Doctor.
  • Added a note of the Sentry Bots; they are intended to be emplaced weapon platforms that are deployed at the start of the game and then don't move after that.
  • Clarified how each team still needs a Lieutenant and will suffer from Lose of Lieutenant like any other normal game.
  • Added a note for Team 1 - The Spec Ops attributing each model on that team 5 Regular orders so their not order starved.


Version 3.0
  • Have clarified what units Team 2 - The Mad Doctor can enlist.
  • Clarified some rules and added 1 special rule to keep Team 1 - The Spec Ops in the game longer hopefully

It just kept growing and growing and growing. It now contains a detailed player pack for Team 1 - The Spec-Ops and a detailed player pack for Team 2 - The Mad Doctor as well as 8 ready made Spec-Op profiles that cover each faction for Infinity as of today.

Feel free to give it a read I'm sure its full of holes and spelling mistakes feel free to edit anything you find and re-post it or just give me your feed back and I'll fix it as soon as I can.

Also please give it a try!

Finally,

I see this scenario working for anywhere from 2 to 9 players.

As along as each side has at least 1 player it can work and no one says you HAVE to use Spec Ops feel free to run any list against the doctor.

For example just for fun a full Mercenary list.

Sigh this thing just took on a life of its own.

This is hopefully a finished product now. I've fixed countless formatting errors and made it much much much more printer friendly.
