Hi everybody
Let's introduce myself. I'm Koen and from the Netherlands.
I got interested in Infinity about 8 months ago. And when I heared about Operation: Icestorm I wanted to start playing. Searched the internet for information and watched the video's on Beasts of War. Then I decied to buy O:IS at Crisis Antwerp (a great wargaming convention in Belgium) last november. Unfourtunally I heard there where only 2 or 3 boxes on sale and they sold out very quickly. At that time my wife was in her last month of her pregnancy so I had to put my hobby on hold. In januari of this year I got my hands on the Pan:O starter from O:IS. I started my search for information again and came in touch with Scorch.
So yesterday I played my first games of Infinity. I got a couple of days of from work and decided to go to Leiden to play there because there is a great gaming group with a couple of Infinty players who can teach me the game. I posted on our facebook page that i was going to Leiden and Scorch send a message that he'd like to come along.
We started with the missions from O:IS. Here I learned the basics of the game. We skipped a few missions because they where very easy. After that we started a normal game with 200 point lists and I learned the rest of the mechanics (that I needed to know). After diner we started our last game and it was the most interesting game. I build my own 200 point list and started to play. After two times Los of Lieutenant and claimed two objectives, I won the game.
Now that I learned the basics of the game and the Pan:O faction I can start building my own lists and buy the models that I need. I already bought a Croc model because the excperts told me it is a great addition to my army.
So let's get painting and playing.
