Hello from Winnipeg MB

Hey all,

I'm in Winnipeg MB, and interested in getting (back?) into Infinity. Some friends and I had tried it out about 2 years ago, did everything wrong, and abandoned it to continue playing 40K (300 pt kill 'em all games, no objectives, 3 and 4 story buildings, no turn limits). However, I am now friends with at least two people who play Infinity semi-regularly, so I can play with them and learn for others with some experience.

I'm looking at playing Aridana, but am waiting until N3 drops until I lay down money for models.

Right now I am out of sorts for a gaming group, but used to play 40K semi-regularly until 6th/7th. I also played Magic (EDH) quite a bit, but haven't much since finishing university.

Welcome to the game!

Nothing wrong with a 300 pt shoot'em'up, though the 3 or 4 story buildings are probably a little tedious when first starting out.

I entirely recommend you proxy before buying models. It's a fun and cost effective way to make sure you're getting your bang for your buck. Most Infinity players are rather nonchalant about proxy usage in casual games. Grab some games in with those new friends of yours!

Ariadna is a rather popular faction, it seems, right now. Can't blame you, though. Those new models are spectacular!

Thank very much for the invitation. I have family in Ottawa (cousins and grandmother) so it's not unfathomable that I'd find myself in the area. Working it into the trip might be a different matter though...
