Fell in love with the O'Yoroi before I know what Infinity was. LGS picked it up and now I am really enjoying the game.

Just gotta figure out how to deal with smoke when playing the Nipponese. :)

Greeting to the other Oklahomans here! Maybe we can get a game in sometime soon?

Well done that man. Infinity is a great game and the models ooooo yeah the TAG models oooo yeah! ;)

Couple things on smoke first of all gotta remember this part.

- What happens if a model throws a Smoke Grenade from out of Line of Fire and then moves into Line of Fire, but where the Line of Fire would potentially be blocked by the said Smoke Grenade?

Any models that gains Line of Fire to the active model with the second Short Skill gains ARO as normal, if the ARO declared can prevent the Smoke Grenade to be thrown, a BS attack for example, it will result in a Face to Face Roll.

You don't need special equipment or skills to see through smoke that hasn't being deployed yet. So keep your enemy playing fair and make sure they use extra orders to throw smoke when out of LoS/LoF of your models and then use a whole new order to move into it if not throw every ARO you can at them to stop that smoke generating model.

As for smoke and effective counters in JSA your only true perfect counter is the Yaoxie Rui Shi Remote problem is you can only take 1 in your list and its got an ARM of 0 making it a complete glass cannon. However its your only source of Multispectral Visor LVL2 and its got a fairly average BS and the range of the Spitfire make it decent unit to take if you're really reeling from smoke shenanigans, Camouflage or ODD lists. Keep it in cover and Tokusetsu Butai - Engineer near it and maybe it will hold down a flank for a few turns.

- What happens if a model with MultiSpectral Visor L2+ ARO with BS attack a model throwing a Smoke Grenade and vice versa?

Both Models make Normal roll.

Another option is cheap Keisotsu 4 or 5 man defensive link team with a couple HMG's, Missile launchers or even Grenade Launchers as with 4 man or more any link team gains Sixth Sense LVL 2 and is granted the ability to react to people firing through smoke even if their not the target of the attack. This assumes at least 1 member of the link team could drawn LoF to the enemy model behind the smoke it doesn't grant LoF if you normally couldn't see them.

- Does Sixth Sense L2 ignore the -6 BS modifier for reacting through Zero Visibility Zone even if the model wasn't the target of the attack?

Yes, if a model with Sixth Sense L2 is not target of the attack it may react (by making a Normal, of course) without applying the Zero Visibility Modifier.

All of that aside if the enemy is using Zero-V Smoke the kind ALEPH Myrmidon Officers and what not get no one can see through that.

Howdy!

I'm from Sallisaw myself, making you the closest Infinity player I've seen so far. Do you play with the Team Covenant folks in Tulsa?

Yes, Team covenant is my home store for infinity. I also play in an Escalation league at Top Deck.

If you're ever in Tulsa let me know. perhaps we can get in a game or do lunch.
