G'day guys,

With the mass exodus from GW in my area, I've made the move to try and convince people that Infinity is where it's at. I picked up a starter to paint a few years back, but with the renewed interest in my community I've jumped in with both feet.

About to start work on MAF, while a good buddy of mine is knocking together some Military Orders for me as a secondary and demo force. In the meantime, I've got a fair bit of terrain to get started on. Looking forward to contributing to the community

I used to play 40k with simple plastic armymen. I'd say it's better they get the rules down using whatever 3d counters they are using, than use the "proper models" and yet get everything else wrong.

I've seen people proxying Warmachine armies with cardboard cutouts of minis. They were in colour and to scale and it beats spending £120 or whatever to see if you like how the army plays

For the record, the main offender is such a GW fanboy, that he refuses to let people use third party miniatures in GW games, and continues to refuse to play against any FW units or models.

Yeah, I proxied with Tau and the odd Spaz Mahreen, a Hasslefree mini or two. It gets you into the game! And there are very nice alternatives to CB figs if you are strapped for cash.

I don't normally e-thug but some peoples attitudes mainly fabboy-ism really get to me. Unless he changes his attitude and that's unlikely he will never embrace an open system like Infinity.

Yeah, I don't understand why he continues to play Infinity. Surely if you're enjoying a free ruleset, you should support the manufacturer?
Ah well...
