Seriously, what is it about Infinity players? You guys are such good painters and terrain scapists/painters! Everytime I consider posting my stuff, its a little intimidating, cause I'm mediocre at best. I like how everyone is also very supportive and such, but man, its really hard to follow up on everyone's act. :?

Just do it,

Won't hurt you to have your ego stroked. :p

And in all seriousness if you don't put things up for some critique its hard to become a better painter.

Also remember at the end of the day your models you do what you want don't feel pressured.
What I do: Chef by trade, arsehole by choice and I play and TO for Infinity when I'm not being either.

I am also a pretty unexperienced painter. But at least they are my minis and my style. :v:
And if I look at my local group of infinity players I realize that I am definitely not the worst.

take a look in my thread if you think your minis look bad, my earlier ones look like shit with zero highlights and single wash coats. practice makes perfect though, so keep plugging away at it man. only took me 6 to 8 months to get where i am...and i still have such a long way to go

I'm in the same boat really, enjoy painting a lot but am not particularly good at it!

That being said the Infinity miniatures (and their high level of detail) have made me improve a lot.

Yeah, with 40k and Warmachine I never really felt the need or desire to improve as much... but with Infinity models, it seems a damn shame to paint them without going all out. Also, I'd like to thank you guys for being such a good community; a nice change from the Privateer Press forums.

Yeah, it's a breath of fresh air, for sure. Infinity players seem to be of the more intelligent, lighthearted sort. It's all good. :)

And it also tends to be a really nice natured community, certainly you don't get the nastiness you find with some games/hobby forums.

Although perhaps that isn't down to different people, but the fact that the parent company isn't trying to pelvic-thrust its longterm fans in the face at every turn :)

Good painter? Moi?

Pardon the craptastic lighting/camera, but: My infinity minis.

I bought a Light Box and some day light lights on EBay for good lighting. Now I only have to find time to actually paint my miniatures and make some photos

My wife has a lightbox, but its in storage, of course. The main problem is, my current house is just really dark and I work when the best lighting filters in the windows. Doesn't help I use darker color schemes.

Use a plain light background like white illustration board, that will help.
