Did anyone heard anything about the timeframe of the re-design of the Shasvastii?
Do you think it would be wise to drop some money on the models now, or wait a bit?

They are said to be coming in CP N3.
Which, if memory serves me, is said to be released next year.
As you see, loads of gossip. Also, this is about Shasvasti as a ruleset. Some new sculpts are likely to be showing up before that, a lot of them during a long period after that. Some - for example Sphinx - are going to stay as they are (CB said they're satisified with the current model).
Bottom line: for the time being, do not expect new Shasvasti sculpts anytime soon.

here are some known information about Shasvastii redesign.
Models of Noctifers and Sphinx will stay same as they are.
Everything else will see resculpt in the future. CB still don't have final concept arts for them. Bostria said that redesign of the aliens is very hard work and it needs time and care and they don't have time to work on them yet (probably because Aristeia and other projects). He also said that they will start to work on them after Gencon (pobably around october according to him).
We also have some info about their units.
- there will be completely new basic line infantery which will replace Seed soldiers.
- seed soldiers are still Shas unit, but they will became something else (they will probably have new role on the battlefield)
- there will be probably even more new units or toys added to them
IMHO if you like current Shasvastii models you can buy them, but there is chance that models will be incompatible with new design and there is also chance that some units will have different options that they have know.
