A Drink to Lost Comrades

by Hero of Man » September 30th, 2013, 8:30 am

Her name was Alguacil Hacker, and I only had her for a few weeks before she ran off on me. I've looked high and low, in bags and boxes, and can't find her. Didn't know how much I'd miss her till she was gone. Tell me friends, are there any lost soldiers you'd like to raise a glass to? :(

Yes! An almost finished (painting wise) Domaru Butai just vanished on the way to the mancave in the back yard.

A toast!

I had an awful accident with my SAGA minis last Monday.

Some very fine Norman warriors who I had sweat blood over painting and glueing (my first finished army!) are not gone forever.

I had some horrible fatalities after a car accident a couple years ago. Lost all sorts of Warmahordes troops.

I also have a bunch of MIA 15mm troops, where I have been working on a 'Pumpkin Scissors' unit.

“Stopped? Never. Slowed me down while I load the guns? Every time.”

I had a veteran SM sergeant (metal) go AWOL after an opponent came to my house for the first time.
Needless to say it was the last.

1/72 scale brave Russian tank commanders. Your front didn't collapse, but my table did! Perhaps now you are in heaven looking out the turret of the T-34 my dog ate the year before.

Poor, poor crocman with combi rifle. Well, some of him, anyway.

Slipped and fell into a warm crucible.

I can't say I miss him though. Made a nice ingot, though.

Invincible with Multi Rifle.

She feel from her perch on the wall, and upon picking her up, she lost an arm. Of everything else was able to be found, but the black hole that exists on random things that you are looking for and the broken laws of Physics in that 1cm by 1cm hole in the universe dictated that THAT arm, was gone. Never to exist in this plane again. I have yet to find it obviously. I even offered to pay the first family member to find it.

Alas, I shall drink to that arm.....

I must raise a glass to my Moira Sniper/Moira HMG, During my recent move the support arm of the dear sniper was misplaced, and the lovely HMG was kind enough to donate her arm to replace the missing support arm.

I had a swiss guard go missing. Right before a tournament where he was part of my list. Damn hidden deployment.

Bought a replacement and had it painted up for the tourney. Next time I was at the club, I was getting terrain out of our cupboard and I found him - right where I left him. Guarding a church - on the inside.
