TLDR - Best faction for non-stupid-looking female figures?
Hey all, I'm looking into playing Infinity. What's the best faction if I want options to field female characters that look like they're shooting at something (or otherwise involved in a fight)?
Not like... pointing at stuff or carrying a gun on their hip. Seems women combatants in the Infinity universe do lots of gun-hip-carrying for some reason.
Tactically sound armor is a strong plus.
Jean of Arc, the female sniper in the Hassassin Bahram starter pack and the female(s?) in the Imperial Service starter pack fit that description. But those are all from different factions.

No such faction. CB spreads the stupid poses all over them, and females seem to get more. With the last workflow changes the boring posed become more common and the dynamic ones rarer (partially changed in last months, but still to see really dynamic ones as in some old models). And all men are macho and all women foxy, that has been going pretty much always. We are still waiting for Fat Yuan Yuan and Chubby Odalisque.
Your best options are conversions and proxing. With official models, or non official if you don't mind about tournaments or the organizer is permissive.

If not worth saving, is it worth rewriting? What is more, was it worth writing?

Ariadna has the most reasonable, IMO. Newer Haqqislam is not bad either.

The men are macho/women are foxy aesthetic doesn't bother me, but the noticeable lack of women that are shooting at things does.
I guess another alternative would be to just use CA.

Go for Haqqislam. We have many women in the army and some of them really look like they're in the fight, not on the stage

If you are including sectorials, you might also check Corregidor, just don't go looking at Bakunin.

I would argue it is less about what is shown, more about the pose.

I feel like realistic women often point at things. I see women do it all the time, and not just in movies or anime either. Realistic women can also carry a gun on their hip. That's something that happens in real life.
Jean de arc is a great model, but she certainly doesn't fit your definition of realistic. She's not shooting at anything and doesn't look like she's involved in combat at all. You know what happens in combat a lot, actually? Pointing. You do a lot of pointing to let your fellow combatants know where to go, where you want to go and where the enemy is. You also sometimes stand with your gun at rest (or even on your hip) because you can't spend all your time aiming down the barrel.
It sounds like what you want isn't "realistic" female models, but models that fit your narrow preference.

Yu jing are fairly solid. Asuka is the only goody one that I can remember.
