PC alternative to Infinity?

Allright, this question will be short:

Are you know some (not one, some) games that mostly resembles Infinity in gameplay? As far as I know, one of them is Incubation from Battle Isle series...

X-Com is the one that's usually mentioned, and it comes close. Shadowrun Returns is another one that's kind of close I guess, but so far as I know no game simulates the action sharing that Orders allow. Someone mentioned Valkyria Chronicles as a game that used something similar but I've never played it myself so no guarantees.

Frozen Synapse (basically Infinity tactical simulator with camo and ARO)
XCOM: Enemy Unknown (the new one, the classic DOS X-Coms are good but not as much Infinity)
Xenonauts

For now I'm playing the XCOM reboot, but thanks for tips, but it'll not be a problem to see more propositions ;)

Valkyria Chronicles is very close to Infinity, though with a more world war feeling and AROs are really powerful.

Satellite Reign has the same feel, fluffwise but is not turn based, it is currently in the early access stage so it is about to be released.

Satellite Reign looks pretty awesome and I can see myself picking that one up soon. Great terrain inspiration as well for the cyberpunk noir table I am putting together :)

While reading up on Satellite Reign I came across some references to upcoming iOS game Static Sky - a tactical cyberpunk shooter. Not sure how it will work with touch controls while not being turn-based and I know it's not on PC, but boy does it look pretty :ubergeek:

Maybe a bit older game but nonetheless an excellent game and great for inspiration: Binary Domain

Oh and in a couple of years we might enjoy a game that's currently in development called Cyberpunk 2077, check the trailers on youtube, that game is going to be awesome

Ooooh incubation is probably my most favourite game ever. Check out lost sector. Online turn based game with pretty infinity aesthetics.

Hopefully, I don't think Max mike himself has much in the way of input.

I like the guy, I really do (had the pleasure of GMing him in a convention rpg session 20ish years ago) but trying to merge computer games with his baby ended up with a homunculus that nobody wanted.

Cyberpunk isn't infinity. Infinity is next-gen. Post-post-humanism.

If you don't mind some seriously ancient games, the original XCom: UFO Defense and XCom: Terror from the Deep are available on Steam for cheap. They're from the mid-90s, and are a unique mix of strategic planning and tactical assaults. I pulled down the map files from the XCom wiki to use for table layout ideas.
