hex bases

doing a set of hex bases....

25mm, 40mm, 60mm

DO you want:

1) hex-base on TOP of 3mm standard sloped-sided base
2) hex-base on TOP of 3mm tall vertical sided base
3) total 3mm tall slope-sided base

The current "Official" bases are 3mm slope-sided with the hex/road on top of that giving:
total height to road surface = 5mm
total height to pavement = 6mm
total height to curb = 7mm

please post preferences below:

(FWIW My personal pref is 3mm is the road height, 4mm is pavement height, 5mm is curb height with Vertical sides...but that's just coz i like the vertical sides... in terms of "gaming" the slope-sided base will work out for the bottom of the base to be the same as the vertical base {doh!} but the UPPER SURFACE on the vertical sided base is ~ 6% wider.... so if you were REALLY pedantic there is a 5.9% greater chance of the upper-surface of that base being visible {assuming some wird-shaped-terrain at that height that makes it visible and a normal base not)

all yours.... you have 2 hours or so to comment.... :words:

I'm sure you remember the old Citadel hexagon slotta bases. They where hexagon shaped on top and bottom. I'd like to see those again with or without a textured road surface.

I'm not sure I completely understand, but I have a bunch of your bases with the little square futuristic cobble pavement and the bigger rectangular pavement with the fire hydrants etc. I like the heights and look of those (well I have repeatedly come back to buy more everytime I get some more Yu Jing!) so I'd vote for bases that are similar in dimensions.

I am assuming you are basically taking about street style bases with hexagon pavements/roads?

I would prefer the total Height of 3mm with sloped sides.

Hm, I didn't notice there's another thread about the hex bases. If there's still time to vote, total 3mm height sloped sides or bust.

What's the ETA on them? I'm looking for something to base my whole Yu Jing on and yours seem appropriately nice & cheap.

Very sexy indeed!

It looks like the paving surface is different in each one; tri-hex, hex and square?

Are there different styles of paving for each base size, or would they all be available in all sizes?

I'll probably be one of them.
These look very nice. And are exactly what I'm after.
