3D terrain

I'd posted these on the offical forum prior to the thread getting locked.

I make resin stuff for various wargames and I wanted some scatter terrain that I could use so I modeled some stuff in 3d and had it printed which I'm using as master parts to mold and make resin duplicates of.

My website store is here: www.paulsongames.com

Also I have a facebook page: www.facebook.com/paulsongames

Here's pics of the progress so far.

Heheh, nice to see you here :v:

Are you selling these, or are they just for your private use/testing?

Once I get all the molds finished I'll be selling these. $1.50 for the garbage cans and data terminal and $4 for the larger pieces.

Hehehehe....

I was wondering when or if you might come here after your thread got locked.

Let us know when you have these up for sale. I could definitely use some!

I PMed him the address and I plan to do the same with all the people who get thrown out of the "official" Arcologies section :3:

Info sign is done.

I'll need to get this painted up but I was experimenting with a couple graphics. I also want to do an insert showing subway or bus routes. These could also serve nicely as large outdoor flat screen TVs.

These are now available on my website: http://www.paulsongames.com/28mm-terrain.html

These look sweet. What we need are some consoles, data banks, computer holo-screens etc..
New types of crates or storage stuff.

I make a lot of terrain and I've a definite need for military, research, and techie scatter terrain that I prefer to affix to the buildings.

Got any plans for that?

Once I've recouped my expenses on these I have a whole list of stuff that I want to do. If there's specific stuff you want to see just let me know, if I like it I'll add it to the list.

Here's group shots of all the stuff together. The parts will include the self stick laser graphics that I used, done on a laser printer. (the pictured ones are a bit dull due to ink jet printing)

Glad to see your stuff here. Pissed me off when they locked your thread as you didn't actually say any of the stuff you where making was for sale.

Anyways, you planning on making any large billboards/advert boards at all? I would love some of those :)

Let me know when you're ready to sell... I have a hankerin' for that kind of scatter terrain.

I bet you could make a really good, cost effective set of Paradiso markers that are cheaper than the official ones.

EDIT: Also, for the posters, maybe just include some notes on what size fits in there and the best way to affix the paper to resin. Panzerkunst makes phenomenal posters for Infinity.

Yeah I was annoyed when they locked it as I'd specifically avoided saying they were for sale. I guess they took issue withthe link in my sig, or one of the offical sponsors threw a hissy fit. Oh well their loss.

I'll be coming up with a few more signs. I don't have acess to a laser engraver for anything suprfancy but I can work up stuff that would work with stick on graphics. I work with photoshop a lot so I can come up with some simple but effective looking stuff. I've already got a piece in mind that will work well for a movie poster marque or security scanners. Just have to start busting out some more 3d work.

If people are interested I can also make some sticker sheets of graphics available for stuff like computer sreens windows etc. I'm not particuarly good at hand painting that stuff so I tend to come up with little printed things I can glue onto parts. It'll take me a bit but I can probably come up with a generic set of graphics that peopel can put on their stuff.

I'll see what I can do with some markers, the difficulty is that clear resin is a pain in the butt to work with but I may be able to model tokens that can be painted, or maybe get some stuff custom cut from plexi.

Here's a shot of the graphics I used. They're sized for the parts and I included some with each order. All you need to do is trim around the edges with a good pair of scissors or a hobby knife. If you want to go the extra mile you can run a black felt tip pen or sharpie along the edges to get rid of the white that shows along the edge.

It works best to peel them off the backing paper with a hobby knife or with a small sewing needle. (being careful not to cut yourself)

Also if any of the vending machine parts arrive slightly bowed you can heat it up in hot water for about 30 seconds and it'll become flexible and can be bent back into proper shape shape. Sometimes resin can act funny with extreme temperature changes, right now it's below freezing here and they might warp slightly in transit or when they warm back up to room temp.

The graphics look great! Might I suggest some company logos for the venting machines in the future? I think company logos could be very popular. Thanks for the resign fixing tips.

Ah, I was unclear - I didn't mean the 25mm tokens, but rather the crash coffins, tech coffins, Alien and Human Consoles, etc. The MAS ones look great, but to get as many as you'd need to play Paradiso, you'd spend hundreds.

I don't like MAS' alien penis markers. Non-penis alien markers would be nice. :D

Ah I don't have that book yet (I only have the core book) Do you have a link to any pics of the stuff?

No, don't look! Make alternative ones, no need to copy!

ed: I'll make a list of what is needed and what it should look like (its manufacture/intended purpose)

These are the 40mm markers that Paradiso requires, at a minimum.

http://infinitythegame.com/forum/index. ... ely-table/

MAS has 3d versions for some of them and is, presumably, working on the rest.

Paradiso specifies that the markers only provide cover if you use an actual... thing/model/bleep bloop. If you just use a 40mm base with the drawing, then no cover for you!

As an aside, I'd like to say that I am glad that Paulson Games is making stuff for Infinity. I've bought some 40K related stuff a while back and was satisfied with his quality and service. I am really looking forward to his new releases and ventures.

Is there any interest in having weapons made? I have a pair of rifles modeled, but they are currently heroic scaled so they'd be oversied for Infinity but I can always rescale them, or build new weapons. I won't copy Infinity designs but I'm sure I can work up some stuff that would look suitable.

How often do you do weapon swaps? If not would having an option for weapons sprues make that something you'd be into?
