I like the two options military or police. Will there be a civilian version or will you also include alt Military and Police Options. Or a longer backed version for Firefighting or Amublance services? A longer version could also work as a SWAT or police command vehc or as a Assault Tranport used by military forces.

Please keep up the good work. My weekly group is loving the Dice Tower and Hab blocks.

IMHO looks way better in the "police patrol vehicle" variant. The four-barrel Gattling-type gun looks a bit oversized on such a small vehicle - it apparently holds only 2 officers.

Since you're seemingly still in the design stage of the project - I'd suggest making the side doors bigger, at least vertically (well, an aesthetic alterations, since they seem to be just marked by shallow lines on the sides of the vehicle, right?).

All in all - excellent job, ZenTerrain - as usual :)

Also I did try wargaming trader the ££ wasn't near enough, maybe if I took trade in value but then no option to buy terrain. I sold 1/6 of my stuff privately and made about 33% of what was being offered

Anyway I was doing some planning, it's all to scale given the dimensions on the website.

mock up

This is with 6x HAB? (one is on the bar), 1 bar, 1 medical building, containers, wall, 2 food stands and a bridge. I still think it would need a bit more. Maybe another medical building? or a couple of stacked HAB units (ie get 3 more stack 2 and put one on top of another?)

I think it looks ok, maybe 1 more of the bigger buildings or 2 smaller ones here or there. Personally I would go for scatter terrain with your build. Get some street lights, benches and the planters (stackable!) which should be available soon.

2 HAB units stacked are slightly taller than medbay (20mm), but I think it should be possible to connect them at a slight angle.

Can someone who has those buildings available confirm that?

Yes 1 HAB is lower than the medbay. You can get the heights from the website as well or go to page 10 of this thread to see some pics of an awesome table by nlanza to get some feel for the models you want.

I agree with Zenterrain, I'd get one more large building in there.

I agreed with Section 9 - I recomend the Dice Tower/Shipping building. Good size building with plenty of play space and the landing pad is a handy landy zone. The vertical hight of the tower is very slick and my group have loved playing with it on the table.

The dice tower gives a great cetrepiece - stops dice flying around the board - provides a sniper spot/LoS blocking AND will add to the general variation of the board.

I'm liking those objectives! Server stacks make sense and I'm surprised I hadn't seen this style of them (more modern, rather than futuristic) before. The removable acrylic is a nice touch.

We've got a little backlog on the new projects. This week we should have intel chests and radar objective in store, next are the stackable planters (coming very soon as well). We still got our bulwark system, car, server stacks and the latest antenna to push through. We will try hard to make prototypes of those in the next couple of weeks and give it to the painter as soon as everything is checked.

Kris,

I love that antenna design but I've really got to warn you about something that's starting to frequent in your designs.

Image

Case in point here on the antenna you're going to have a series of cuts that will leave your HDF sheeting with very little strength to resist the bumps and thumps it will get during postage, use and storage.

I strongly suggest you don't add components like this to your future pieces or if you do you cut it 2 or 3 times and have the end user glue the duplicates together to form it from 3mm to 6mm or 9mm thick to give it more structural strength. That our mitigate the risk of it breaking by limiting the length of the pieces that will come under stress.

I've already had piece break on my Dice Tower for example because of the issue. The one there could have been avoided by cutting less of the door out on the front fence and door combination at the base of the tower. Little things that won't effect the overall aesthetics of the piece but still maintain its structural integrity.
What I do: Chef by trade, arsehole by choice and I play and TO for Infinity when I'm not being either.

Thank you for your comments VisOne.

I will have a prototype up soon and then I will assess the general stiffness and integrity of that piece.
I do not want to remove it as such because it's crucial to the design (read: looks mighty cool).
It's a bit of a delicate matter as well, how much of the design aesthetics you would be willing to sacrifice for practical reasons and portability? In the end it's a playing piece that should make your game more exciting and pleasing to look at than a collection of books and old shoe boxes.

But valid points all in all, will consider it in the future.

If y'all are talking about that "wire" piece circled in red, why not make it using an actual piece of wire?

Buy a spool of insulated wire the appropriate size, cut a piece to length for each kit as they're ordered/packed. It'd save you some time on the laser, too.

Well I'm already incorporating other materials into some of the projects, but to be honest I'd rather minimize it. The saving on the cutting time is not worth sourcing another extra material. On the other hand nothing is stopping you to cut that piece away and replacing with 'actual' wiring. That would be a bi*ch to transport I bet... ;)
