Custom sculpted and cast tokens

I guess this belongs here because I would like to sell them, but I am not a retailer. I am a teacher by trade, and a hobby sculptor. Not the best but passable. Just starting to cast some things. Not sure what to charge for them so maybe it doesn't belong here. But sales seem to belong here so without further ado.

Wound marker. Thought a chalk body would look cool.

Dead or mine. I like having no miniatures on the table that are not active, but yams and its often have loot the body, so I use wounded for unconscious and dead for, well dead.

Order marker, but this one doesn't have to be green, mine matches my JSA army

Repeater, which doubles as immobilized for me. JSA not known for heir hacking prowess.

Prone

Camo markers, two color schemes but the possibilities are endless.

Link team, saved the worst for last. Can't seem to get the air bubbles out of the heads. I am working on an alternate idea, will pot it once I am finished with it.

I was hoping to get some comments. Mainly about price and how people would prefer to purchase them. Truly I just work in my garage and made them for my own personal use. Thought someone might be interested.

As to price MAS tokens are about $1 a piece. Mine are not as nice as there's, but they can be customized to fit your army. Does .50 per token seem appropriate?

Would people prefer pick and choose or sell as a set?

Any thoughts and comments would be helpful.

Honestly mate, although I appreciate the effort, I'm not sure I'd be interested in actually buying tokens like these. They're great for your own use, but I don't see a successful commercial venture on the horizon. The quality just isn't good enough.

That's just me, though. Maybe others love them.

I think the issue you will have is laser cut tokens produce a more consistent higher quality finish (at cheaper than MAS prices).

While with Acrylic you can mark the surface and produce a nice finish if you actually goto MDF you can engrave quite deep if required creating a very similar effect as you have but in a much more consistent and clean edge way. In fact i actually cut a series of similar markers for a friend with a chalk outline on one side and a wound splat on the reverse.

yeah that is the problem you are going to run into. Lasers will trump you on that sort of thing



I can pump out 80+ of those bases / tokens in about 20 /30 minutes. I think I can go as low as 30 for 10 bucks. I have been using them to base my miniatures and they work fine, and I am planing on doing my order tokens in acrylic once I have time to actually play.

That being said, 50 cents a pop for a customized token is not a bad idea at all and you might be able to sell a few.

Its not a bad start, just need to refine it a bit

Lasers are cool, but I don't have a laser. I made these for me, thought if someone else wanted some I could oblige. Make a small amount for my time and trouble. Apparently they stink. Message received.
