Creating Objective Room

by schoon » March 22nd, 2016, 12:19 am

I'm working to teach myself how to make good laser cutting files, and what better way to do it than to create something that everyone already makes ;)

The vents on top are mostly so you can pick up the roof without an ice pick. The currently empty doorways will contain exchangeable parts that will have closed Narrow Access, Open Narrow Access, or Open Wide Access.

Still working on details, and will post progress...

SketchUp. Or other programs are copying the render style. :v:
If not worth saving, is it worth rewriting? What is more, was it worth writing?

Yes, that's SketchUp - though I'll be switching to Solidworks eventually (I qualify for a student copy due to my vet status).

The layered walls look cool. I really like the modularity of swapping out parts to change the building.

For the vents, I'd suggest just cutting squares, and stacking them rather than having a cube to assemble. Etch a small 'L' into the roof where each vent should go to help you locate the vents.

Thanks for the feedback, H1ghlander. (I read it after I did my effort for the day, however...)

A bit more detail, plus the interchangeable door options for closed, narrow, and wide open. I have not done any of the etching details yet...
