Merci beaucoup !

I'm in a good place with this design.
Added a pavilion on the roof. I will add two more. One on each side of the first one and at a 45° angle.

Try art stores (that's where I get mine), it tends to come in big sheets (like, 70x100cm), and a few different thicknesses.
I've seen it being used for packing and to give photographs / drawings a stiff backing.

And try different names (or even descriptions when talking with the shop staff), like mounting board or binder's board (the thing inside hardcovers). In one of the forums we got the list of names per country.
If not worth saving, is it worth rewriting? What is more, was it worth writing?

How do you get to the roof terrace? With a monumental staircase. TAG friendly!

Also I noticed your cuts are SUPER precise. Do you do them by hand with an x-acto blade or somesuch or do you use a guillotine or some other contraption?

By hand and I use a steel ruler. I do 3 or 4 passes with the blade for each cut.

They seem to be roughly as precise as the cuts I make with an alluminium beam (got to buy myself a good steel cutting ruler) and Olfa snapblade knife. In other words - it is nothing that big.

I mean - I praise Mark C not for the precision of his cuts, as this is not something extraordinary. I praise him for the ingenuity, inspiration and detail of his designs :!:

I absolutely love that staircase. Functional, looks great and has lots of tactical implications. That goes in the inspiration scrapbook :)

I've recently discovered that «institutional size» scenery is well suited for Infinity. As you say architectural details do become tactical decision points.

Last night I decided that this table will have only 5 large buildings. One in the center and 1 in each quadrant. The next building in the sketching phase is an outdoor amphitheater. I'm turning this table idea into a museum and entertainment district. (I'll get back to the Field center later on).

Thank you all for the positive feedback ! ;)

Wow, MARC C... That staircase section is superb! That over walkway is amazing! That pavilion looks great, too! Such detail (like the rain leads) are super nice touches.

Sweet! Can't wait to see the rest!

An administration building of some sort? It looks great. Does the top tower have some sort of guide system to ensure it's fitting over the hole the same way each time?

Or MarcC, Maître de carton "MCMC'. That ladder/stair element against the first floor wall is excellent. Anything that breaks up long walls is a good idea. Combining it with a way up, simple and elegant. And very functional.

Yes there is a 1/8" border at the bottom of the second floor that fits in the roof of the first floor.

Thank you guys for the generous comments.
