Fine by me too, but I'd prefer a bit earlier hour for actual games, on Fridays I need to be at work after 20:00.

Radek, there's no campign turn length in Paradiso - or at least I can't see how it could be introduced. You simply cannot move forward if a certain scenarios haven't been played, and their outcome specified.

In some cases - as there are cases where extra troops can be ported over from a previous scenario as survivors - I can't see how to exactly specify the outcome without actually playing the scenario.

Not ot mention XP...

Ok so Friday someone takes book, we check scenario and do parrings, then arrange for games. Write down important rules for those without book and just hope everything will go smooth.

Guys, I think I'm out this week. Got sick. I hope I'll be able to show up for the Paradiso meeting on Friday, but can't guarantee it.

Ok, guys. About the Paradiso campaign:

- I assume we have four players; Errhile, Radek, Fred and me?

- We shouldn't have problem with accessing the rules. Errhile, can you bring your book on Wednesday?

- We can skip the next meeting altogether - lets not complicate things too much. We can determine pairings for the first mission on Wednesday.

- Think about how much time do you want for one scenario one or two weeks - I'd go for one week, but this might be too restrictive for some.

- According to the rules you choose a faction and stick with it through the whole campaign (you can switch between vanilla and any sectorials, though). I'll be playing Aleph, not enough Shasvastii troops for now :P

- I also propose to use a rule from narrative campaign mode - when any Special Character dies (fails his Medevac/Cubevac rolls), it dies for good.

- Every round I'll try to make a promotional battle report (Hot news! Next episode of Myrmidon Wars, straight from the jungles of Paradiso! Check your Maya channel now!), put it on the forums as well as print it for the shop. Might draw in some players that way.

Apart from Paradiso: I'll have the 20x20 mission system printed tomorrow, I'll bring it on Wednesday so we'll have some alternative to YAMS. I'd like to try it out immediately, who's willing to play?

I'm OK with it. Even if I would prefer to stick to a given army (vanilla or sectorial of one's choice).

We can play it like that and adopt narrative mode entirely. Though I'd prefer sticking to faction and allowing some variety, plus it's fun to choose whatever sectorial you think is best suited for a given mission.

Wednesday I can be after 12:30 till 16:00 then will be back after 19:00.

For army i am fine either way can play only with Japanese.

And i Agree with the 50% exp on tactics and 50% on spec ops.

I would say lets give 2 weeks for a game and if everyone menage to get theirs game faster we can end turn earlier.

You can split experience between spec ops and army as you see fit. We can make a final decision about game mode on Wednesday. I can be there around 16:00, standard.

Beforehand? I guess not, though keep in mind we're taking full rules with Special Characters. If they're dead (including failed Medevac and Cubevac), they're dead for the rest of the campaign.

Well, the Wargamer order is open, and we've hit the free delivery already. Let me know if anyone wants anything else (Fred, I got a single pack of 5x55mm bases for you, is that OK?).

I could close and send it any time, and I guess another order will be getting placed within a month or two.

There's something funny about their prices these days, I assume they're venting old stocks.

Stiopa, let me know what do you want from MAS. Seems no one save for you and me is interested.

Hey guys, first battle rep. from Paradiso Campaign
I have hastily thrown few models together today morning and printed a quick list for the game. Life was trying to holding me back and cut into my hobby time, but I couldn't let Radek down and also since we were having an observer, potentially interested in Infinity world I was hell bent on making in ot time (in the end I was late and failed, but this is another story).

I have decided to bring a pure Panoceanian core army for today as it was my first mission on Paradiso and as dictated by the procedures the contact force consisted of standard issue units.

Facing me was Radek with his 20-something Japanese, crazed for guts&glory (for the Emperor?).

Scenario we played was 101 - Data Recovery.

I have won the leadership roll and chose the side, letting Radek go first (pretty much the only tactic for my force of 10 models facing the swarm).
Safely nested I have tried to taunt Radek to do all the heavy lifting (spending bazillion orders on hacking the devices) and was hoping to make a swift maneuver when my turn comes and swoop the data from his clutches. How wrong I was...
Radek, after exchanging few shots and killing my Bagh-Mari medic (the only one I have brought!), remembered the objectives and started to fail his WIP rolls one after another.
In my turn I managed to exchange his 2 Keisotsus for my ODD drone (how that happened is still a mystery for me) and sent Aquilla to do some bad things - shooting down total reaction drone with HMG and making Domaru Lt. hide away after taking armor shots - but have done virtually nothing to gain VPs. At the end I've left Aquilla HMG in suppression fire to try something new. It went quite well.
In next turn Radek loses his RL Keisotsu to Aquilla after which he is in turn taken down by a link team (we have forgot that shooting at suppression fire is at - 3 now, otherwise it would have been a different story).
After this Radek managed to discover which device stores the data and kill almost all of my remaining hackers.
Last chance drop of Akal commando hacker was almost successful in stealing objective (landed close enough to sniper Keisotsu that he missed his shots) but was then gunned down by other Keisotsu creeping up on the objective. At this point I have 3 orders left. As scenario doesn't say anything about retreat we ignore it.
DeFersen is shot in my reactive with DA and falls down. Only Specops and baggage remote remain to observe powerless, as Radek obtains and sends the data away.

It is a loss for me 0-6

The High Command of this mission seem to realise that a specialist force is required in this difficult theater of operations which is Paradiso. Some changes needs to be made if we think of making a progress on this front.
- A change of tactics maybe?

They're matching prices with Mgła. Funnily enough, after loudly screaming that Mgla is evil and stupid and is waging price wars XD

Yup.
But they also limited discounts on stuff pretty heavily.

OT: the Wargamer order has been sent. Should anyone need anything more, I could always place another one (as soon as this one is sorted out, that is). I'll PM details to those involved - in a couple of days.

MAS will have to wait till Wargamer is sorted out (a matter of financial balance).
