got an video "sneak peek" on 3rd ed rules by BoW -with Carlos on YT
-first strike from stealth gets replaced by FtF roll, but with additional -3 for being surprised
-total positive and negative modifiers to hit are capped at +-12
(which means troops with BS13 + are always capable of lucky crit)
-template weapons are now even better against camo models as this means they always get to shoot simultaneously with camo
-there is good chance similar mechanic was used with MA3+ since they talked about streamlining rules for more consistent types of rolls, usually FtF
-I have no qualms about accepting a useful idea merely because it wasn't my own.
-I Want Them Alive if possible. If not? if not, I'll understand.
-Infiltrators have access to the main ship's computer. Shut it down.

Guys, I'll be taking two weeks off, starting monday. My afternoon schedule stays as normal during this time, but should someone want a game or two during a day, I can make myself available.

..not every day, though ;)

BTW, Wargamer has Operation Icestorm on preorder - priced 360 PLN (standard discounts do apply). Are we in...?

Do they offer free shipping? IIRC Mgła sells it for 330 with free shipping.

They usually do. At least, if the purchase total exceeds 300pln, and with our discount we should be a few PLN better off than with Mgla.

I'll be in Szczecin in the first week of September. I can bring Icestorm over, but I'd like to get a game vs one of you guys. Maybe even 2 games.

i am all for OPS ICESTORM - might even take the Tunguska models too, since I am considering spreading out to generic Nomad force ... And both Grenzer and Spektr look interesting enough to me.

Myself, I think I'll pull out of the Icestorm split.

I have two old Brigadas already (Multi & HMG), and I expect there will be a 4-box of the new sculpt soon. Even if the Combi+LFT one remains a Starter Box Exclusive, the model is of limited usefulness, and I have the old one already anyway.
And as someone observed, the CSU is basicvally the civvie model form DF 4: Flee or Die in more action pose. I have to buy that DF box anyway to get Yasbir for my HB...

I wonder if this will be boxed with dismounted model as well?

@Alkasyn - best to remind us a week or so before you arrive. We usually play on Wednesdays or Thursdays so that would be the best, but we can probably go out of our way to set up a game with you ;)

And, so without any other interested in Corregidor models we will need to cancel ICESTORM.

I'll be at Fenix today with lists for ITS - 200 (with Specops) and 300pts (without Specops) from 2PM until 6PM.
I'd like to play some ITS missions commonly played at tournaments - Anetennae Field, Seize the Antenae, Quadrant Control, Emergency Transmission, Annihilation.
Anyone?

I'll be in, but I don't know yet at which time :(

Can take either 200 or 300pts, but I would prefer to stick to one of them.
