Gosh, actually I can play either Wednesday. When will you start a game, at 4pm? Maybe I'll observe you two in action. Anyone for 200 pts yams tomorow?

- Curiosity killed the cat.
- And the train?
- Humidity...

Ba-dumm-tssss.

I'll pick up the cans and part of terrain after wednesday then (since you will be playing). I've got a bag, and my place is just by the Cathedral, so close enough for a walk. No need for a backpack, thanks.

Stiopa - I actually like everything this guy has put up  I'd love to have it all, but since I already started on new Fusilliers I can leave off the old sculpts (but tempting though..)
What I'm really interested in:
- Kamau (either, but prefer the Combi one)
- Aquilla HMG
- ORC HMG
- Joanne
- Trauma Doc
- Swiss HMG
- Akal
- Bits&pieces
We'll see if I'll be able to afford these and not go on a dust diet for the next month.

I'm not interested in old Fusiliers, but some of the other models are on my list as well. Battle?

I'd like to get Kamau hacker, Joanne 2.0, Swiss and Aquila HMGs and Croc sniper. I must calculate if I can afford them, though :/

Ha! You're on!
I can let go of Kamau hacker, Joanne and croc.
However we will be going head-to-head for Aquilla & Swiss

Errhile's Hassassins wiped the table with my knights ;) Partially because of my abysmal rolls today, partially because of my sub-optimal play. I still need more practice with MO.

Long story short I had the first turn and I lost TO sniper linked Teuton with Spitfire and Sierra dronbot to Lasiq fireteam's AROs. After that it was an uphill battle, and Errhile knows Bahram units better, than I know MO. We'll see about that next time ;)

Speaking of next time, who's up for battle on Saturday?

Your gameplay was suboptimal? So was mine.

As for the rolls - defintiely I had some luck, and you lacked some luck. But wouldn't call your rolls "abyssmal".

I made a post on that game in my Hassassin thread.

As for Saturday, it remains an option for me, but I can't confirm it yet.

Saw it already ;) Hey, we all need to blame something. Might as well be dice :P Still, it's good to be back to MO.

Lasiq link tem?
ouch
I guess the 6th sense negated the advantage of sneak attacks?
Coupled with increased burst this makes them EXTREMELY hard to dislodge...
any knights out there with -6bts? would be a prime unit to use against Bahram

Hospitallers and Teutons have -6. I had no problem with FtF of snipers, I had the edge... well, not enough ;)

I'll try and leave enough for a game.

If I'll catch a game on Wednesday, I'll bring Acontecimento on weekend. If not - it'll be Vedic Aleph

By the way - Scorch is calling all players to celebrate N3 release, as now the rules are online. Who's up for playing a first N3 game? We can limit ourselves to quick start rules, or try to play it advanced; use only rulebook units or simply keep old point values until everything is updated.

random N3 thoughts
-I think we should use new unit templates with generous proxying.
-"old" units points values and rules are simply not fitting into new rules, especially considering some equipment not existing anymore
-we need at least one printed copy of rules to keep with terrain, anyone who can make it?
-Aleph is screwed for time being
-can't wait to see the Kum sisters in action... 2x flamer ona bike? drive-by BBQ?
-ejecting a pilot is a fun hacking protocol, unless the pilot in question is Scarface, then it becomes downright hilarious
(I know he ahs no profile yet - just count him as Anaconda for the time being)
-fast pandas are fun version of deployable repaeaters
-close combat from out of camo/to camo/imp gets -6 to enemy roll... as I suspected!
-rev healer has 19 cc and exp ccw... prepare for hostile surgery :P
-breaker weapons seem to replace viral ones
-and they are arguably more balanced, acting as ap versus bts
-I have no qualms about accepting a useful idea merely because it wasn't my own.

Can do.

ewok40k wrote:-"old" units points values and rules are simply not fitting into new rules, especially considering some equipment not existing anymore

Not existing for the time being, I guess. There should be a lot of old stuff showing up again once the HS / C:P updates get out.
ewok40k wrote:-we need at least one printed copy of rules to keep with terrain, anyone who can make it?

Taken care of it today already :)
ewok40k wrote:-Aleph is screwed for time being

Again, only untill we get an upgrade. Keep in mind the same applies to Tohaa (not that we have any active Tohaa player around).
ewok40k wrote:-can't wait to see the Kum sisters in action... 2x flamer ona bike? drive-by BBQ?

You'll have to wait a long time... no Vanilla Haqq / Khanate players around.
ewok40k wrote:-ejecting a pilot is a fun hacking protocol, unless the pilot in question is Scarface, then it becomes downright hilarious

Anaconda doesn't have a profile, either (for the time being)

I disagree. The difference between Breaker and Viral is like between Armor Piercing and Double Action. Besides, Viral is Human Sphere addition, so likely going to show up in HS update files.
Keep in mind that Viral is said to be (exclusvely?) Haqq tech, fielded by the Lasiqs (rifle / sniper ammo), Muyibs (mines) and selected special characters (Yasbir, al-Djabel - CCW). Outside of Haqqislam, I recall two examples - Loup Garous (Merovingia purchased a supply of Viral Ammo for anti-Dogface applications, in return for a major supply of Tesseum) and father Sforza, who continues the multiverse tradition of bounty hunters using exotic weapons...

For Saturday I propose using only N3 ready units, 200 points (we'll all learn rules at the time, so no point in prolonging the matches). Also, it's a level accessible to Stavrogin. We won't have access to all our shiny toys, but we'll get them soon enough. After yesterday's surprise I suspect CB has the transition perion thought out better, than we feared.

Ewok, most of those things will be back soon ;)

Thanks for printing the rules, Errhile ;) I'm going to print new markers tomorrow before game time, can print the new templates for general use (but their size didn't change, right?)

As for Saturday i can play a game at 11:00 then at 13:00 Spoils tournament. After 16:00 free again for Infinity. Shame mine Keisotsu will need to proxy zhansi... as V:Courage now is really good - no retreat marker... Also most of JSA is absent so Daofei&Hac Tao team will show up again.

On Saturday I can start at 13.15 (at 12.40 my girlfriend has a train to family town so I must transport her on the station, but after that I have time only for game during the 19.00). I think that 200 pts is right for me. Meanwhile we should organise more tournaments, maybe more new players will be come to us.

Well, I'm not too fond of tournament play as such, as well as of the competitive gampelay style it seemed to invoke back in the day when I tried it.

Casual gaming, sure. But tournament, not so much.

Saturday: I will show up around 13.00 too
200 pts, N3 army list is ok for me
Anaconda IS in the mercs army list, complete with pilot stats
(there are also rules for evacuation system)
some new Haqq unit gets breaker rifles
as for the tournaments, I'm ok with it, but don't like introducing too much of competititve spirit
as long as we can keep it low key i think we can manage this just fine
